Chapter 195
Nathan had already apologized, but they were still pushing their luck.
In that case, Nicole would let them retrieve the footage from the surveillance cameras. Let’s see who would end up embarrassed!
Just then, Nathan wrapped his arms around his head and said with a pained voice, “My head hurts! I need to see a doctor.”
“What’s wrong?” Nicole looked at him with furrowed brows.
“Evelyn hit my head just now, and it hurts right now.”
Nicole anxiously checked Nathan’s head for injuries.
“I didn’t hit his head,” Evelyn said firmly. “You’re just scared that the footage will prove that you’re in the wrong, right?”
“Send Nathan to the sick bay,” Christopher instructed Nicole. “I’ll go to the control room to see the footage.
In the control room, Evelyn accurately reported the timings when she was bullied by Nathan, whose behavior was clearly seen through the surveillance camera footage.
Nathan had indeed been bullying Evelyn.
Amelia’s entire body shook.
She couldn’t believe this was the child she had raised and taught for five years. In just two short months, Nathan had become a completely different person.
The suffering Evelyn had been through during this period broke her heart, too.
Christopher’s eyes turned dark as he watched the footage.
“Mr. Zephyr, we have concrete evidence right now. Let’s go by the rules,” Amelia said.
Christopher stood silent for a long while before his gaze landed on Amelia. “Do you think it’s really the child’s fault?”
Amelia suddenly had the urge to laugh. “What else could it be?”
“Nathan is so ill-behaved. What went wrong with your efforts to teach and discipline him?”
His tone was interrogative and confrontational. He was blaming Amelia for not disciplining Nathan well, which
was the reason behind the mistakes he made.
Amelia found it extremely ironic.
She had taken care of Nathan, and now, she ended up getting blamed for his upbringing?
“At the very least, he didn’t behave like this when I was taking care of him,” Amelia said coldly. “You should be

asking your ‘good friend’ what she’s been teaching him instead. The evidence is clear. Are you really going to defend Nathan?”
The teacher standing by the side could sense the tension in the air.
“Perhaps you two need to have a good chat about this. It’ll naturally be for the best if you can settle this in private.”
The school didn’t want to offend either party, especially not Christopher.
Amelia wasn’t as threatening, but it was troublesome that she refused to let this matter slide.
The teacher left the control room, leaving Christopher and Amelia alone.
“Let’s discuss the compensation,” Christopher said, cutting to the chase. “You can ask for any amount you want.

He was clearly trying to settle the issue with money.
Amelia’s eyes turned dark as she burst out laughing. “Christopher Zephyr, Evelyn is your daughter. How could you be so biased?”
Christopher chuckled. “What makes you think that I’ll allow Nathan to be expelled over Evelyn?”
Amelia scoffed, knowing that Christopher had never cared for her or Evelyn.
He hated that she had married him back then, which dashed his hopes of marrying the woman of his dreams.
In turn, he also hated their daughter.
“I won’t accept any compensation. I just want Nathan punished according to school rules. He should be duly disciplined and expelled,” she said coldly.
Christopher merely stared at Amelia.
“Nathan is still young, and he’s already apologized,” he said. “If you really can’t accept that, I do have another suggestion. I can let Evelyn transfer to another school.”
Amelia felt her blood freeze in her veins, her lips turning pale.
Not only did he refuse to seek justice for her and Evelyn, but he even wanted Evelyn, the victim, to transfer to another school. He acted as though Evelyn was the one at fault.
He had never treated her as his wife, and he had never seen Evelyn as his daughter.
