They were acting as though Megatech was going to be listed the moment it was launched.

Amelia remained silent, trying to block out the noise from the other room and focus on the present instead.

Jasper saw her return and asked, “Did you just bump into them again?”

Amelia nodded.

Worry filled Jasper’s eyes as he looked at her.

Seeing the look on his face, she said with a forced smile, “I’m fine. They just like to shoot their mouths off.”

Amelia was getting tired of hearing the same old things.

“Bumping into them is inevitable since we’re all in the same city and working in the same industry. I’m just worried they’ll sour your mood,” Jasper said.

He started the engine of his car.

“Mr. Johnson called and asked us to go sign the contract tomorrow. After we strike up the partnership, you might see them even more frequently. Do be mentally prepared for that.”

Amelia buckled her seatbelt. She looked at Jasper and said calmly, “Are they wolves or tigers? Why should I be mentally prepared? It’s just a partnership. We only need to go through the standard workflow.”

All partners and work were steps she had to take for her career to grow.

Cooperating with Infotech Group was a springboard for her. There was no reason for her not to take it.

What’s more, they had Navitech backing them up.

Navitech didn’t directly involve themselves in Nova Nine’s projects and only invested in them. They drew regular dividends and requested that Nova Nine report to them regularly about work progress.

In Jasper’s words, Navitech was here to give them money.

Amelia had her doubts about it. Navitech was a long-established player in the industry and only wanted dividends from their partnership instead of new technology.

By right, they didn’t lack money.

She raised her doubts to Jasper, who seemed to see through things.

“Lincoln Spencer is scheming and astute. Everyone says he’s excellent at managing people, and he’s very popular with his staff. He was able to grow his company to be on par with Infotech and the Zephyr Group when his father failed because his people stuck by him and are loyal to him.”

Jasper steered the wheel with one hand as he rested his elbow on the open window and went on with his analysis.

“Navitech doesn’t lack technology, but Lincoln is sharp in making decisions. He gave us a hand without asking for anything in return at our lowest point. That only means one thing. If he wants to work with us on new

technology in the future, we have no reason to reject him.”

Amelia looked at Jasper, realization dawning upon her.

What a great move that was!

“So, you…” she began.

Jasper chuckled. “Don’t worry. Lincoln is so well-liked because he’s honest and has integrity. If he wants to collaborate with us in the future, we have no reason to say no to him. Navitech is a great company and a convenient passageway for us. It’ll be mutually beneficial.”

Nova Nine was bound to thrive in the days to come, and various companies were fighting to work with them. Navitech simply had the foresight to beat them all to it.

There was no need for Navitech to fight tooth and nail with the other companies.

Indeed, Lincoln knew what he was doing and was farsighted.

“How else would he be able to lead Navitech to the success it is today?” Jasper said. “We might just be able to defeat Megatech and even Infotech by working with Navitech.”

At this point, Nova Nine still hadn’t matured yet.

“Is Lincoln’s company stronger than Infotech Group?”

“It’s hard to tell,” Jasper said. “It’s said that they each have their own stronghold in the industry. Navitech is king in the south, while Infotech Group has conquered the north. The war between both sides has never ended.”
