Amelia looked at him with her arms crossed at her chest.

“Why don’t you just say that you’re worried about your darling losing the bet?” she said mockingly.

When they were both drunk last night, the partner who was present at that time signed a contract with Megatech after leaving the table.

Amelia had noticed that the partner had appeared very keen on striking up a partnership at the table over drinks.

The project they were dealing with right now was very huge in scale, after all.

Amelia tightened her grip on the tablet and looked up at Jasper. “Did you ask the partner what’s going on?”

“He said that since we’re partners with Megatech, it didn’t matter who they signed the contract with,” Jasper said darkly.

She couldn’t hold back her anger and flung the tablet on the table.

No wonder Christopher appeared at the entrance of the kindergarten today and warned her not to overreach herself.

Jasper looked extremely upset. When he had found out, he wished he could hack Christopher into pieces.

“We bullied his darling, and he’s taking cold, hard revenge.”

From rejecting Nicole’s request to join Nova Nine’s team to eventually firing her, Christopher had shown that revenge was best served cold.

Amelia didn’t allow herself to wallow in anger. She quickly composed herself and cleared her thoughts.

“After returning home last night, I did think it was fishy that the partner left early, so I found another manufacturer who fits the bill.”

Jasper said, “Let’s contact them right away.”

Amelia nodded. “My grandmother had some interactions with them while she was alive. I’m sure it won’t be difficult to secure a meeting with them.”

With a precedent at hand, Jasper could help but feel guarded. “What if Megatech tried to snatch this from us as well?”

Amelia looked at her phone to search for the contact. She smirked and said, “They can try if they have the guts.”
