Chapter 249
“Wait!”
Nicole suddenly appeared, opening the door.
She had a contract in hand as she strode toward Mr. Lewis.
“Mr. Lewis, I have a better option for you right here. I can give you 5% more earnings on top of what they’re offering you.”
Nicole pushed the contract toward Mr. Lewis.
“We’re also partners with Nova Nine in the government-led product.”
Megatech was equipped with a hefty budget and was certainly generous with its offer. All their partners could potentially be poached by them with their money.
Nicole was blatantly having a price war with them.
Nicole looked apologetically at them.
“Mr. Langley, I’m sorry. Mr. Zephyr gave me too much, and since Megatech is new in the field, it’s pertinent for us to secure all possible opportunities. We really need this partnership. Since we’re partners, I’m sure you won’t mind, right?”
Nicole didn’t mean to make enemies of Jasper.
Jasper had the Langley Group backing him up and wouldn’t end up too shabby no matter what happened. That was why she continued being polite to him.
Amelia ignored Nicole and looked at Mr. Lewis instead. “Mr. Lewis?”
Mr. Lewis put Nicole’s contract down on the table and said, “I’m sorry. In business, it’s not first-come-first- served, but profits.”
He was clearly rejecting Amelia.
Nicole arched her brow and stretched her hand out to Mr. Lewis. “Good thinking, Mr. Lewis.”
“Do you want to up your offer?” Nicole turned back to ask Amelia, as if posing a challenge.
However, no matter how much Nova Nine was willing to add to their offer, they would never be able to beat Infotech in their capital.
Amelia leaned back in her chair. “Sure. I’ll up it to 15%.”
Nicole furrowed her brows. Nova Nine needed this particular material; if they managed to secure this partnership and complete the project, they would surely rise from here on.
The only one they could contact who could serve at their level was Mr. Lewis.
If Nicole let that happen, she would lose control over Megatech.

Taking Mr. Lewis down was equivalent to burning all of Nova Nine’s bridges.
Nicole knew Amelia was getting anxious and was thus throwing out a high price. It seemed they were really getting desperate.
Nicole smirked and said confidently, “We’ll offer 20% then.”
“I’ll sign it!” Mr. Lewis said. “I’ll sign the agreement right away! If Nova Nine withdraws, Megatech will have to sign the contract at a profit of 20%. We’ll do the calculations subsequently.”
No matter what went on in their conversations, a written agreement was necessary.
“Let’s sign it!” Nicole said.
After signing the contract, she turned to look at Amelia.
“Well? Will Nova Nine offer something higher?”
Amelia chuckled, her eyes filled with disdain as she put aside her contract and stood up.
She said decisively, “Ms. Randall is so generous with her offer. I’ll withdraw.”
Then, she nodded at Mr. Lewis.
“Hope we have opportunities to work together in the future.”
After the meal, Nicole stopped Jasper in the car park.
She tried to persuade him.
“Mr. Langley, Nova Nine might be unable to go through with the production of its core projects. Why don’t you fire Ms. Sinclair and work with us instead? Return to us the position of project lead, and we can still work together. Ms. Sinclair was the one who signed the bet. It has nothing to do with you, after all. I’d hate to see Nova Nine ruined in her hands.”
Jasper looked coldly at her, his brows furrowed as though in deep thought.
“Jasper,” Amelia said as she drove the car to the entrance and called out to him.
Jasper strode right to the car while Nicole called out to him again.
“I’ll give you time to consider my offer!”
She could tell that Jasper was facing difficulties now that she had snatched his materials supplier from him.
Nicole was sure that Jasper wouldn’t be able to withstand the pressure for long.
When that happened, Amelia would surely be fired by Nova Nine.
