Reborn Without You (Amelia and Christopher) novel Chapter 256

Chapter 256

Luke turned around to ask Nicole and Christopher, “Was that the leader of the company in central Northon whom Amelia just met?”

Nicole stood stunned for a moment, her brows furrowing, low could that be?”

That company only worked with a specific few partners. How could they possibly meet Nova Nine?

“Make no mistake. I just saw him drive off in his car.”

Luke had doubted what he saw at first, but he was very certain about it now.

Amella turned back and looked straight into Christopher’s cold, dark eyes.

He asked, “Did you seal the deal?”

Jasper stepped forward and said calmly, “We did. The contract’s been signed.”

His tone grew cold as he went on, “I’m afraid you have to get ready for some heavy losses, Mr. Zephyr.”

Nicole’s heart fell with a thud.

She could feel an impending doom.

If Amelia and her team managed to achieve the profits stated in the agreement, she had to quicken her pace in researching and developing new products.

Otherwise, she was at risk of losing everything she had.

She had brought back a lot of new technology from her studies abroad.

“Not at all,” Christopher said blandly, “Nova Nine’s success means that Infotech Group has great investment acumen.”

Christopher looked calmly at Amelia, his eyes unfathomable.

“Congratulations,” he said softly.

Amelia looked at him coldly with a slight nod. She then left with Jasper.

Luke’s brows were furrowed tight.

“She’s so arrogant after securing one partnership,” he scoffed as he retracted his gaze. “How did they manage to contact that company?”

“It’s not strange, given Jasper’s identity,” Nicole said with pursed lips.

Amelia was just riding on his coattails.

What right did she have to be so proud?

After Jasper and Amelia got into their car, Jasper said with chuckle, “Did you see the look on Nicole’s face just now? I loved it. I feel my anger dissipating already. The expression on Christopher’s face was gold, too.”

Amelia put her bag down and buckled her seatbelt.

Nicole looked down at the project figures, wide-eyed with shock.

Her head snapped up as she stuttered, “Th-this…”

These were just a portion of the statistics. She could already imagine how spectacular the results of this project would be when it was completed.

“What’s the matter?”

Luke took a look at the figures, and he was equally flabbergasted.

He felt the words stuck in his throat. “These figures surpass that of Eos X7… Did Jasper do this?”

Luke was still having difficulties processing it.

“No wonder Caleb and the government regard this project so highly!”

Nicole’s brows furrowed.

This project should have been hers.

This project would only have been better with her involvement.

Amelia, a mere graduate, had lucked out on this one. She had chosen such a stellar project.

“Nicole, Jasper is truly a formidable opponent. Eos X7 was under Institute 511 back then. It might just have been his work,” Luke said.
