Reborn Without You (Amelia and Christopher) novel Chapter 261

Chapter 261

Amelia looked innocent on the surface, but secretly ruthless on the inside.

She feigned weakness to gain an advantage and scheme against Nicole. She looked as though she had given up on fighting them when she was actually laying a dangerous trap for them.

After their dinner, Jasper headed to the workshop to consolidate some figures.

Amelia took a stroll in the vicinity of the factory zone.

There were a few factories within the zone.

Production factories were often situated very far away from the city.

The sky had turned dark as the sun was setting. The sky was ablaze with dying ambers of dark orange.

She admired the beautiful view of the suburbs and pulled out her phone to snap some photos.

She had a fervor for all the beautiful things in life.

It was just that she had been so busy recently, running between the office and the factory, she didn’t even have the time to take a good look at the sky.

The setting sun stretched out her silhouette, making it look exceedingly lonely in the dim light.

She turned to walk back to the factory and bumped into Nicole at the entrance.

Nicole’s face was dark with displeasure. She had understood what was going on.

Mr. Lewis’ materials weren’t up to standard, but production was already underway. She couldn’t take the materials back and had to have them all destroyed.

She had signed a contract with Mr. Lewis at a very high price and even paid the first deposit.

In total, they suffered a loss of over a hundred million.

The company had just started, but it was already making a loss before earning anything. Nicole felt her dreams shattering even before they were realized.

“You did it on purpose, didn’t you?” Nicole’s voice rang cold in the dark.

She was clearly here to settle scores with Amelia.

Amelia stopped in her tracks, a sardonic smile hanging on her lips. She blinked and said with feigned innocence,” Did what on purpose?”

Everyone knew what the Randalls were capable of. They didn’t have that much money or assets.

“Megatech is a joint investment,” Nicole said with furrowed brows. “Forget it. It’s pointless explaining things to you.”

Someone like Amelia couldn’t even gain access to events meant for the upper class. What was the point of explaining anything to her?

Amelia chuckled.

Just as she turned to leave, a Maybach stopped right before her.

Amelia had no choice but to stop in her tracks.

The car door opened. A man stepped out, his figure tall and towering, his eyes cold and distant.

“Chris…” Nicole called out to him.

Christopher looked coldly at Amelia, his aura intimidating.

Amelia could sense that accusatory look in his eyes.
