Chapter 264
Christopher didn’t give Amelia a choice.
His car sped forward. If Amelia didn’t give way to him, both cars would crash.
Amelia’s face darkened as she neared the cliff wall, the car body shaking violently. The steering wheel seemed to have a mind of its own as she tried her best to hold it steady!
Nicole sat in the front passenger seat, not even daring to breathe.
Christopher’s car drove up next to them, forcing Amelia’s car in between the Maybach and the cliff wall.
Both cars came into contact, swerving left and right.
The impact caused the Maybach to drive very close to the railing at the side of the cliff.
Doing this required superb control of the car, on top of strength and guts.
The screeching sound of the cars colliding with each other sounded in the air. Nicole shut her eyes tight.
Luke’s car was close behind; his heart leapt to his throat when he saw the terrifying scene before him.
The Maybach was an excellent car, and Christopher was a good driver. Amidst the tension, he slowly inched his car toward Amelia’s.
There was inertia the moment he slammed down on the brake. The Maybach crashed into the railing and headed straight to the cliff’s edge.
Amelia’s eyes grew wide as her heart raced.
Right before the car fell off the cliff, Christopher jumped out.
The Maybach fell down the cliff. The sound of it crashing on the ground sent fear creeping up everyone’s hearts.
“Chris!” Luke stopped his car and hurried down.
Fear filled Amelia’s heart, and her forehead and palms were covered in sweat. She panted hard as she looked at Christopher outside her window.
Jasper came soon after.
The moment their car ground to a halt, Nicole immediately unbuckled her seat belt and ran out of the car toward Christopher.
She crouched low and asked him, “Chris, are you alright?”
Christopher struggled to get up and turned back to see the damaged railing as well as his car that had fallen off the cliff. He retracted his gaze, his eyes cold.
“Chris!” Nicole gasped. “Your palms are bleeding!”
Christopher looked down; he saw blood dripping down his ght arm and onto the ground. When he tried to move his arm, pain pierced through his entire body.
“I’ll send you to the hospital,” Luke immediately chimed in
He and Nicole helped Christopher into his car.
Right after shutting the car door, Nicole paused for a moment before turning to shoot Amelia a cold glare.
She then shut the car door.

In the car, Amelia’s breathing slowly recovered.
“Are you alright?” Jasper opened the door to the front passenger seat and suggested, “I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up.”
Amelia shook her head. “I’m fine.”
She stepped out of the car and checked out the damage on-site. Tyre marks and nasty scratches covered the road.
Her car had gone completely out of shape.
When she was driving, she could sense the impact from Christopher’s car colliding into hers, which forced her car to finally slow down to a stop.
Achieving that required accurate control of his car’s speed and force of impact on Christopher’s end.
He once served as a chief engineer in ASTRA and was naturally adept at assessing situations like this.
Any other person would have blindly risked his own life.
Despite Christopher’s acumen and accurate assessment, what he did was still an extremely risky move.
She covered her face with her palms and took a deep breath.
She very nearly lost her life today…
The night wind blew across the lands, and the smell of petroleum drifted in the air.
She could still hear Christopher’s calm voice sounding through the loudspeaker.
He was willing to risk his life for Nicole.
He was willing to exchange his life for hers.
If Nicole hadn’t been in the car with Amelia, Amelia’s changes of surviving were probably slim.
Amelia’s thoughts finally cleared as she said, “Jasper, help me call someone to get the car thoroughly checked.”
