Chapter 152
Pamela felt very unsettled right now, unsure how things would go. John hadn’t responded to what she had said just now, and she had no idea what he was thinking.
“It’s not suitable for you to take pictures for social media in your condition right now. Wait until you’re fully recovered.” John’s voice was steady and slow, his tone giving nothing away about his emotional state. “It’s getting
late. Get some rest.”
Pamela bit her lip.

She wanted to ask him what he was thinking, but his cold aura kept her from opening her mouth. She knew she had pushed things too far. Not only had she failed to win John’s concern and affection, but she had also ended up making him even more distant from her.
That night, Pamela could hardly sleep and woke up constantly.
John, sitting beside her bed, didn’t sleep at all.
Sierra, on the other hand, slept especially soundly.
The next morning.
Sierra woke up early. After she and Tommy finished breakfast, she took him with her to Eagon’s residence.
The night before, she had asked if he wanted to stay home and wait three or four hours for her or go with her when she was putting him to bed. Tommy had chosen to go with her without a second thought.
They reached Eagon’s residence a little before nine.
When Sierra first interviewed for the job, the time had been set from eight to eleven. On the second day, though, Eagon called to say Eden liked to sleep in on Saturdays, so they changed it to nine to twelve. From then on, Sierra would arrive a little before nine every day.
Eden was delighted to see them and pulled Sierra straight toward the dance studio.
Eagon took Tommy to Eden’s study. “You can play with anything or read any books you like here. If you need anything else, just come next door and find me.”
“Okay.” Tommy was very well behaved. “Thank you, sir.”
Eagon didn’t mind him after that.
For the rest of the morning, Sierra taught Eden how to dance while Tommy stayed upstairs, reading quietly.
The lesson ended right at twelve,
Sierra was about to take Tommy home when Eagon asked them to stay for lunch.
Sierra turned him down, but Eden was so enthusiastic that she held on to Sierra and Tommy, refusing to let them go and forcing them to stay.
At the table, all kinds of dishes were presented one after another.
The whole time, Eden kept chatting with Sierra. It was obvious how much she liked her.

“Ms. Bell, this is Tommy, right?” Eden asked.
Sierra nodded. “Yeah, you two have met before.”

Back then, John didn’t get along with Eagon, so the children had never really spoken with each other. They had only watched each other from a distance.
“Why do I feel like…” Eden lifted her hand beside Tommy to compare their heights, her expression serious. “You haven’t grown much since last time?”
Ack!
Critical hit!
Tommy’s usually calm face turned intense. “I did.”
Eden looked puzzled. “Have you?”
Tommy stressed it. “I have.”
“But last time, you were about the same height as me, and now you’re a little shorter,” Eden said. To prove she was right, Eden stood up and moved to his side.
“That’s because Tommy is half a year younger than you,” said a gentle voice behind them.
Solomon, dressed neatly, walked over and lightly patted Eden on the head.
“When you were his age, you weren’t as tall as he is.”
Eeden nodded her small head. “That makes sense!”
.Tommy stayed silent.
Out of politeness, he greeted Solomon. “Uncle Solomon.”
Sierra also greeted him. “Solomon.”
“Sit down and eat.” Solomon sat with Eagon, every movement gentle. “Treat this like your own home. Don’t worry about courtesy here.”
Sierra and Tommy shared a look, then picked up their forks and knives, and started eating.
Sierra worried that Solomon would start talking to her about John and Pamela the whole time. Tommy knew what was going on with John, but knowing and actually hearing about it were two different things.
As lunch drew to a close, Sierra was finally able to relax a little.
After that, she and Tommy thanked them politely and stepped away from the table. She was just thinking about how to find the right moment to tell Eagon they were heading out when Solomon walked over to her side.
His tone was still mild. “Would you mind stepping outside to talk for a moment?”
