Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 157

Chapter 157

Is he resting, or did he go to see Sierra?Pamela questioned Robin.

When Pamela thought of the message on her phone, her emotions slowly got out of control. They had clearly agreed to make things hard for Sierra together, yet everything he was doing now leaned toward Sierra instead.

Robin’s expression didn’t change, and his voice became even more formal. I am only his assistant. I have no right to interfere in his private life.

Pamela stared at him. She knew he was lying.

Everyone in Jade City knew Robin was John’s right hand, that he had been at John’s side even before John took over Henderson Group. It was not just his private life; Robin knew John’s daily schedule inside out.

Then, can you help me get in touch with him?Pamela pushed her feelings down and chose not to clash with Robin headon.

Robin took out his phone and called John in front of her.

An automated voice answered. The number you have dialed is currently switched off.

He even turned on the speaker so she could hear it clearly. It’s off.

Pamela said nothing.

Of course, she knew it was off.

When he turns it back on, tell him I’ve been discharged.Pamela pulled out her IV and lifted the blanket, ready to get out of bed. I don’t like staying in the hospital alone.

  • Robin lifted his arm and blocked her. I was told to keep an eye on you.

After that, he called a nurse to put the IV back in.

Pamela wanted to refuse, but Robin’s unreadable expression set off every alarm in her mind. Her instincts told her that if she resisted, he would have someone hold her down and reinsert the needle. Every time she pulled it out, he would have them put it back again.

When that thought crossed her mind, her confidence vanished.

When Robin saw that Pamela had cooperated and stopped resisting, he sighed in relief. Kenneth’s method really worked.

John, still asleep, knew nothing about any of this. He held Sierra the whole time and slept for hours.

During that period, Sierra tried every trick she could think of and still couldn’t wriggle free. She didn’t dare bite him to make him let her go. If she did that, there was no telling what he might do in return.

With such a gap in strength, she didn’t dare take any risk.

John finally woke up around seven in the evening.

Only when he felt the soft body in his arms did he realize this wasn’t a dream. He wanted to sleep a little longer, then noticed it was no longer early outside. At this hour, she and Tommy should have been eating dinner.

Now that you’re awake, let go of me.Sierra felt the pressure of his arms around her change.

John wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. He buried his face in her before brushing a light kiss behind her ear. The warm breath against her skin sent a shiver through her whole body.

Sierra tried to turn around and smack him, but his hold was too strong, and she couldn’t move much at all. She set her hand on his thigh and pinched it before twisting it hard.

Why are you pinching me?John’s voice was hoarse from sleep, addictive to listen to. You slept in my arms for so long, and I can’t even kiss you?

Sierra was speechless for a moment, then snapped back at him. Can you be a little less shameless? If you weren’t grabbing me and refusing to let go, would I still be stuck here?

Was I holding you?John asked back.

Sierra pushed with all her strength. You
