Chapter 170
“Don’t look at me like that.” Lucas’s posture made his stance very clear. “I’m just telling the truth.”
“Would you dare say that to Mom’s face when she wakes up?” Sierra stared at him, her voice colder than before. 1
Lucas was taken aback, and his eyes shifted for a moment. When he realized that this reaction didn’t match his personality, he forced himself to answer quickly. “Why wouldn’t I?”
Sierra kept her eyes on him.
Under that stare, Lucas started to feel guilty.
1
“You’d better hurry up and find a way to get me out of here,” he said, grabbing at any excuse to change the subject. “If I’m in a bad mood one day, I’ll tell everyone what an ungrateful daughter you are!”
“Go ahead.” From his reactions, Sierra had already pieced together most of it. “We’ll see which spreads faster. Whether it’s me being ungrateful, or that you’ve been living off a woman.”
The words had barely left her mouth before Lucas shot up from his chair. His eyes on Sierra were full of rage, as if he wanted to tear her apart. “What did you just say?!”
“Without Mom, there wouldn’t be a Bell Group,” Sierra said, deciding to test him with the version Jubilee had given her. “All that money you spent on me… Wasn’t that just the payment for Mom helping you build Bell Group up?”
Nicholas blinked in surprise.
Lucas stared at her, eyes locked on her face. He looked like he was trying to figure out how she could possibly know any of this.
Very few people knew about the deal he had made with Anna. She had warned him over and over not to let Sierra find out, and told him all he had to do was play the role of a father.
“Who told you that?” His expression looked worse than it ever had.
Sierra’s heart skipped a beat.
At that moment, she realized that what Jubilee had told her was most likely true.
If it were all true, then why had her mom ever stayed with her dad? Why must the daughter they had together be raised on the money she earned from helping him?
More and more questions started to haunt her.
“Say something!” Lucas’s temper flared.
Sierra watched him. “What other deals did you and Mom make?”
“I’m telling you to tell me who told you that!” Lucas had lost all signs of his earlier calm. His face twisted in fury.” Besides me and your mother, there are no more than five people who know about this!”
The lawyer who drafted the prenup, the staff who handled it, and Anna’s friend. They knew the content of the agreement. The two partners who had started Bell Group with him knew what Anna had done for the company.
“Answer me first,” Sierra said, not looking away.
Lucas’s fists clenched tight.

If Nicholas hadn’t been there, he would already have taken a swing at her.
“How much do you know about Mom?” Sierra pressed on, reading most of the truth in his eyes and his attitude.” And what did you mean before, when you said that I want to know why you abandoned me and my mom?”
Before Jubilee said anything, Sierra thought he was just making up another excuse to squeeze more money out of
her.
However, he seemed to mean something else.

Lucas suddenly let out a cold laugh. “The one who told you all of this didn’t explain it?”
