Pamela clenched her fists.

Holly had gone too far!

“With that look on your face, are you saying you won’t agree to it?” Holly asked nonchalantly as she watched Pamela’s expression darken.

“I’m not against it,” Pamela said, as she didn’t want the information to spread. She had no choice but to agree. “I’m just thinking about the best way to send it.”

“Give it to me. I’ll send it for you,” Holly said as she held out her hand.

Pamela glanced at Sierra for a moment before unlocking her phone and handing it over. Sierra and Holly both wondered why Pamela looked at Sierra right then, until Holly spotted the contact name.

John was saved as “Husband.”

Holly’s mouth twitched, and she said mockingly, “Ms. Sanders, your level of shamelessness is just…beyond anyone I’ve ever

seen.”

Sierra blinked. “Huh?”

Holly tilted the phone toward her, and Sierra saw it.

Yeah, that was classic Pamela behavior.

“Alright, I’ve sent the text,” Holly said as she typed out the message and hit send. She tossed the phone back. “From now on, you stay in your lane, and I stay in mine. Cross the line and reach for what’s mine, and I won’t mind teaching you a lesson or two.

“I could say the same,” Pamela said as she met Holly’s eyes. “So you better watch your mouth out there.”

Holly didn’t answer. She left with Sierra.

After the two disappeared through the doorway, Pamela tightened her fists until her knuckles turned white. The rage burning in her chest finally spilled over.

She grabbed her phone and hurled it at the wall.

Bang!

The crash echoed through the hospital ward, and the screen instantly shattered.

It did nothing to cool her anger. The more she replayed what had happened in her mind, the more humiliated she felt.

“Ms. Sanders, what happened?”

The bodyguards rushed in. When they saw the phone on the floor, one of them picked it up and put it back in front of her.

Looking at the cracked screen only made Pamela even angrier.

“Get out!”

The bodyguards said nothing else. They turned to leave.

“Stop.” Pamela’s voice rang behind them again.

They stopped.

“Call your boss and tell him I have something very important to talk to him about,” Pamela said, unable to accept that John was

One of the bodyguards said, “We don’t have our boss’s contact information.”

“Then find someone who can reach him!” Pamela was still seething. Her anger didn’t ebb at all. “If you don’t get him on the line within two minutes, I’ll jump from here. If I die, it’ll be on you!”

With that threat hanging over them, the two bodyguards had no choice but to contact Robin. Robin then passed the message to John.

John had just finished the meeting when he saw the message Pamela had sent. He pulled her number and called.

When the call connected, he asked, “I heard you’re planning to jump?”

“Yes,” Pamela said, wanting to get under his skin.

“When you jump, text me so I can send someone to pick up your corpse.” John’s voice was calm, collected, and without a trace of emotion. “And try to keep any impact on the hospital down to a minimum.”

Pamela went silent.

Robin, standing beside John, froze too.
