Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 28

If you’re recovered, then let’s continue,John said, ignoring her feelings. He unbuttoned his suit jacket right in front of her, tossing it aside without care.

Sierra instinctively shrank back, looking at John with alertness. What are you doing?

What do you think a man and woman do in a bedroom and on a bed?” John moved closer, his tall figure almost overwhelming her.

Sierra could only try to run, but the whole suite was locked. There was nowhere to escape.

You already have Pamela, right? Why are you still holding on to me?Sierra asked, trapped against the wall from the bed, unable to retreat any further.

You’re mistaken about something,John said, as if he was doing her a favor by clarifying.

There was still anger in Sierra’s eyes.

It’s not me who keeps holding on. It’s you who always manages to end up in front of me,John said, cornering her step by step with a cold expression. You came to a hotel to sell a ring. You should have known this could happen.

If I had known you were here, I would never have come,Sierra said as she gritted her teeth.

She agreed to meet Kenneth here because in the past, coming to this hotel with John had always been for business. There would be meetings, and then they would have a meal afterward. And the meeting was supposed to be in a conference room, not a hotel

suite.

John’s face only grew colder. Is that so?

Yes!Sierra snapped.

Too bad there’s no such thing as whatifs,John said, holding her chin and forcing her to meet his eyes. The only one you’ll be dealing with today is me.

With that, he pressed his lips to hers. When she tried to slap him, he grabbed both her wrists and pinned them above her head. Sierra tried to kick him, but he easily held her down, trapping her in the corner in just seconds.

She felt nothing but humiliation.

Tears are the most useless thing in the world,John said, seeing Sierra glare at him with red eyes, his voice cold and emotionless. If it were someone else here, things would be much worse.

I’d rather it be someone else,Sierra snapped, more out of anger than truth.

John’s eyes grew colder. Are you sure?

The words died on Sierra’s lips. The man in front of her wasn’t the one who used to spoil her. If he really went as far as bringing someone else in out of his craze, that would be even worse,

John reached out and smoothed her unkempt hair, his fingers trailing down her ear, landing on her earlobe.

There was a shiver down Sierra’s spine as he pinched her ear.

Sierra, you should know you have nowhere left to go,John said, his other hand at her waist, voice husky and deeper than before. If I don’t give my approval, no one will buy your ring. The only thing you can do now is please ine.

I would rather beg on the street than beg you for anything,Sierra shot back, refusing to ever compromise with him.

John frowned at her stubbornness. Is that your survival strategy?

Sierra knew there was no escape today. She was no match for John in strength or size. She gave up struggling and let it all go.

All this talking just because you want to sleep with me?

A dark shadow flickered in John’s eyes. He didn’t expect her to be so blunt.
