Chapter 321
“Since you’ve already decided I’m such a man, you won’t believe me no matter what I say,” John answered calmly. “My answer doesn’t really matter.”
“Whether I believe you or not is my problem,” Tommy still wanted an answer. “Whether you answer or not tells your attitude.”
“My attitude is something I’ve already made clear to your mother,” John said.
Tommy fell silent. He didn’t want to say another word to John.
While Tommy was asking John those questions, Holly was on the other side, bombarding Sierra with similar questions.
“What’s going on between you and John? Why is he still holding your hand?”
Most importantly, her best friend had not pulled her hand away.
“He refused the divorce,” Sierra said, letting the wind from the open window blow over her face.
“Yeah, and that happened earlier, right?” Holly remembered. Then, something popped into her mind as she asked, “Did you two talk about it again in Harbor City?”
Sierra felt a storm of emotions in her chest. “Yeah.”
“What did you talk about?” Holly asked.
Sierra opened her mouth, but when she saw Holly pressing harder on the gas pedal, she swallowed the words in again. “I’ll tell you when we get to your place.”
Holly understood perfectly well what she meant. “You don’t trust my driving skills?”
“It’s not that I don’t trust your driving skills,” Sierra said as she leaned back in her seat, her feelings in chaos. “What I’m going to tell you is so wild, you’ve never even heard anything like it. If you hear it now, you’ll be cursing and stepping on the gas at the same time.”
Holly was speechless. She couldn’t imagine anything more shocking than John keeping a mistress on the side.
“I value my life, you know?” Sierra said.
Holly let out a couple of curses before saying, “Fine, fine!”
Over half an hour later, they finally reached Holly’s place.
As soon as they stepped inside, Holly changed out of her shoes and asked, “You can tell me now, right? Let me hear just how wild it is.”
Sierra told Sierra everything.
When it came to something as serious as this, she never believed in keeping what happened between husband and wife a secret from everyone else. She needed someone clearheaded to help her sort through everything and give her an outlet so she could let out all her emotions.
In this regard, Holly was Sierra’s only choice.
Three minutes later, Sierra had finished telling Holly what had happened the night before.
Holly’s mind was full of questions. She could never have imagined something like this in a million years.
“You really called it,” she said. “If you’d told me this in the car, I’d definitely be furious.”
Sierra leaned back on the couch, her head resting against the cushion behind her.

“That man is such a scumbag!” Holly never held back when she cursed John. “To think he can even do something like this!”
“The thing that I care about right now isn’t that,” Sierra said.
After what Dr. Smith had told her, she was almost certain John didn’t simply stand aside and watch Tommy fall into danger. She just didn’t know what he had done to make it look that way to her.
Holly didn’t understand. “And that still doesn’t bother you?”
“With the way John is, he’d rather hurt himself than hurt Tommy.” Sierra finally voiced out what she had been thinking “He might have done all of this on purpose for me so I could see.”
“So what?” Holly stayed clearheaded. “Real or fake, you were still worried about Tommy, and you still signed that agreement.”
Sierra nodded. “True.”
Holly started to worry about her. “What are you planning to do after this?”
