Chapter 323
“Understood,” Lance answered at once.
John drove himself. He didn’t even bother to call his driver.

Meanwhile, Sierra was still sitting there while the young men piled flattery after flattery on her. She watched their mouths open and close, but her ears seemed to have gone deaf. People came and went around her in a blur, as if someone had put them on fast forward.
For a moment, she didn’t even know where she was.
Lance appeared beside her and said in a low voice, “Madam.”
Sierra came back to herself. When she saw Lance, her expression didn’t change. “What is it?”
Lance glanced at the row of young men watching him. After thinking it over, he finally said, “The boss is on his way.”
Sierra paused, then pushed her feelings down and asked nonchalantly, “And?”
“He’s a little angry,” Lance said.
“And I’m supposed to worry?”
With that one line, the row of handsome young men in front of her suddenly felt emboldened. They all started talking all at once.
“She’s upset, and we’re just keeping her company by chatting with her. Is her man really that petty?”
“If he won’t cheer her up, why won’t he let us?”
“If I had a girlfriend as nice as her, I’d spoil her every day. I would never let her stay upset.”
“If anything ever bothers you, just come and find me. Let me be the one who listens to you.”
Lance was speechless. Were all young men this bold now?
Sierra endured how uncomfortable the words made her feel and glanced sideways at Lance. “Did you hear that?”
“I did.” Lance slipped away at once.
Sierra was probably fine. At worst, John would lock her in their room and make her blush for a while. Those young men, however, might not be so lucky.
“If you see a man come in later with that man from now, tell me right away.” Sierra already had a plan in mind. She knew it was
a stupid plan, but she had no other choice for now.
The group all agreed at once.
About twenty minutes later, John arrived.
Seeing that John had shrunk a drive that usually took forty minutes down to twenty minutes, Lance wisely hurried over to report.
“The madam is having a great time. Those young men have very good conversational skills.”
John tossed Lance the car keys. Lance caught them and hurried after him.
John’s looks and physique were outstanding. Even in the shifting crowd, he was the most eye–catching person there.
One of the sharp–eyed young men reported to Sierra, “Someone just came in with that guy from before.”
“Ignore him. We drink.” Sierra picked up the glass of wine with low–alcoholic content that no one had topped up this whole time, and clinked it with the young man’s glass.

While John was watching, she downed it in one go.
Then, she did it again.
Then, three glasses in a row,
As she finished the third glass, John sat down beside her. His whole presence radiated privilege. He didn’t say a word, yet the pressure coming off him was intense.
The group that had been so noisy a moment ago instantly fell silent under his gaze. They tried to make themselves as small as possible.
They didn’t know who John was, but from the atmosphere around him, his looks, and his clothes, they could tell he was influential and rich. It was safer to be careful if they wanted to keep their jobs.
“Another,” Sierra said, setting her glass on the table.
Since the drinks were so weak and the cups were tiny, she could handle quite a few more glasses. She was counting her tolerance.
