Chapter 363
All this time, Holly had been tied up with work at the company. She had only just gotten back to Jade City from a business trip the night before.
She had learned that Anna was fully awake from their chats, but because of her schedule, she hadn’t had a chance to visit yet.
When Sierra said she needed to talk, Holly answered without hesitation, “You just stay with Anna at the hospital. I’m free for the next few days anyway, so let me come and see you later.”
Sierra hesitated, wanting to say something else, but held herself back.
Holly knew her too well, though. “You don’t think it’s suitable to talk at the hospital?”
“Yeah,” Sierra nodded.
Ever since her mom woke up, the security cameras in the ward had been removed. Still, people were coming and going every day. Doctors and nurses kept stopping by to check on her mom.
If someone happened to overhear and it got back to John, things would get very bad very quickly.
“There’s a cafe on the second floor across the street from the hospital,” Holly said, adjusting the plan at once. “I’ll call you when I’m almost there. We can meet over at the cafe.”
Sierra agreed.
Half an hour later, she got Holly’s call and headed straight to the cafe.
From the moment Sierra stepped out of the hospital, John had already told Lucy to pull the nearby security camera feeds from his office on the upper floor.
Once Holly met up with her, he said to Lucy, “Tap into Holly’s phone. Listen to their conversation.”
Lucy’s fingers moved over the laptop keys. Her tone carried a hint of teasing. “Sierra is my mentor’s daughter. Are you sure you’re not going overboard?”
“I said Holly’s phone,” John said.
“What’s the difference?” Lucy countered.
“I’m listening in on Holly, not on her,” John calmly said.
Lucy clicked her tongue and didn’t keep arguing. She would handle this basic task for him, but if the day really came when her mentor and Sierra decided to leave, she planned to switch off her phone and sleep in peace, leaving everything to fate.
To be fair, she would also find time to quietly let her mentor know what John had been doing.
“Done.” Lucy raised her hands from the keyboard and added without mercy, “If I were Sierra, I would remember this for my whole life.”
John didn’t even spare her a glance.
Holly’s voice soon came through the computer. The two women chatted about how they had been and asked about Anna’s
condition.
When the small talk was over, Holly said, “You didn’t want to talk at the hospital because you’re afraid John will find out.”
“Yeah,” Sierra said. “I want to tell you…”
“Hold on.” Holly cut her off just in time.
Nothing came through the speakers for a moment, but John could easily picture Sierra’s confused expression,

“My company has been shooting a movie recently. There’s a scene where someone taps the conversation between two important men,” Holly said, sounding completely serious. “To be safe, let’s both turn off our phones.”
John narrowed his eyes.
Lucy raised her eyebrows. “Do they know I’m a hacker?”
“They don’t,” John said, his eyes darkening. “I only told Sierra that you’re gifted with computers and that you’re the company’s tech consultant.”
Lucy looked back at the computer screen.
“Can you still tap them after they switch off their phones?” John asked.
“What do you think?”
