Chapter 441
When Holly heard that Pamela agreed to their request, she raised her brow, surprise in her eyes.
Had Pamela really agreed to that?
“You have to keep your word and do everything you can to help me cover my tracks,” Pamela said. She was far from confident, but she had no other choice when it had come to this. “Once I leave Harbor City, I’ll tell you who that person is.”
“Fine,” Sierra said.
Right now, the only thing that was in Pamela’s mind was escape. “I’ll be gone by the second of next month at the latest. When will you give me the money?”
“What money?” Sierra asked.
“The five million dollars I mentioned in the car,” Pamela said.
“Didn’t you say you didn’t want it?” Sierra asked.
Pamela took a deep breath, wishing she could go back in time and slap herself. She really had lost her mind just to get Sierra to
agree.
“Then have your people make the preparations,” Pamela said. “I’ll tell you that day when I leave.”
“Got it,” Sierra replied flatly.
Pamela grew more cautious. “Sierra.”
“What?” Sierra asked.
Pamela couldn’t see Sierra’s expression over the phone, but to be safe, she added, “When I say you have to do everything in your power, I don’t mean just you. You must use every resource you have, including Holly, Nicholas, and your mom.”
Sierra didn’t answer and just hung up.
The sound of the call being hung up entered Pamela’s ears. She swallowed her emotions down again.
If she had known it would end like this, she would have gone to Dr. Yates earlier and dealt with him back then.
If not for him, she could have stayed by John’s side for the rest of her life if not for him. She could have annoyed Sierra for lite and spent the rest of her life enjoying wealth and the protection of a powerful man.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t turn back time, and she no longer had any chance to correct things anymore.
Sierra had no idea Pamela was still thinking about all that. After hanging up, she kept eating, completely unaffected by the call.
“Honestly, I can’t tell if Pamela is smart or not,” Holly said.
Sierra thought for a moment. “It’s hard to say, actually,”
“What was she thinking when she came to you for help?” Holly said. She still remembered clearly what things had been like back then. “After how she treated you back in university… I honestly don’t know where she gets the nerve to still come to you
like this.”
“She wouldn’t have stolen someone else’s identity if she had a shred of self–respect,” Sierra sald, quietly thinking about how bad things must be for John’s real savior.
The whole thing did not affect Sierra much; she dined as usual.
When Anna and Tommy came home, Sierra was in the study with Holly and going over information on every member of the King family.

Only by knowing herself and her opponents could she have a chance of winning. Since her mother had said those shares would not be easy to secure, she had to put in more effort.
“What are you looking at?” Anna asked as she walked into the study.
“Mom,” Sierra greeted Anna.
“Anna,” Holly said too.
“Here, take these,” Anna said. She pulled two invitation cards from her purse and handed them over. “There’s a business party on the night of the thirtieth. Most of Harbor City’s most influential people will be there.”
Sierra took one, glanced down, and saw her own name printed on it.
Holly looked surprised, “Why is there one for me too?”
“Your mom asked me to pass it to you,” Anna explained.
“What about yours?” Sierra asked.
“I’m not going,” Anna said.
Sierra showing up was enough for a place like that. Anna did not want to exchange empty pleasantries with those people. Besides, the point of the party wasn’t for Sierra to make friends or meet senior figures in the field.
“Don’t worry, I’ll definitely take good care of Sierra,” Holly said.
She was very familiar with these kinds of events. Her parents had been preparing her to inherit their two companies since she was little, so she was in her element when it came to this.
Sierra, on the other hand, was different.
Anna had always hoped Sierra could simply be herself. So, she remained somewhat innocent even now.
In other words, Sierra had hardly seen society’s darker side apart from Pamela. She still had childlike innocence.
