Chapter 475
“It there’s nothing else, I’m hanging up,” Lucy said. She had no intention of saying more to Kenneth. “I still have things to do.”
Kenneth frowned. “You’re really not going to do anything about him?”
“He’s a grown man. Does he still need someone to look after him?” Lucy said.
Kenneth fell silent.
“If you want to micro–manage him, do it yourself. I don’t have that kind of free time.”
John had never really gotten over what happened in the past. He should at least learn his lesson this time. If he still couldn’t figure it out, if he still stubbornly believed a promise had to be kept no matter what, then he deserved whatever came of it.
“Are you serious?” As soon as Kenneth said that, Lucy gave a brief hum of acknowledgement and hung up.
Looking at that utterly heartless woman, Kenneth wanted to try to persuade her a little more. Then he realized that no matter what he said, she probably would not listen. In the end, he simply put down his phone with a heavy heart.
None of them were going to step in.
Then neither should he!
John had just treated him so heartlessly just now, so why should he go over there and make a fool of himself?
With that thought in mind, Kenneth said to the driver Robin had sent him, “Forget about the hospital. Go to the airport.”
By the time Sierra got home, it was already past eight.
Before she went in, she adjusted her expression a little so Tommy would not worry if he saw her.
The moment she walked through the door, she saw Anna sitting on the couch, talking on the phone. When Anna saw her and Holly come back, she exchanged a few polite words with the other person on the other side before hanging up.
Then she put down her phone and asked, “Why are you back so early?”
“There wasn’t much to do. It got boring, so I came back.” Sierra didn’t say anything more about it and changed the subject. ” Pamela didn’t come here to cause trouble, did she?”
“She did,” Anna said.
Sierra’s heart tightened. “Then you and Tommy…”
“We’re fine. Nicholas stopped her before she got inside,” Anna said at once, not wanting Sierra to worry too much. “He’s upstairs playing with Tommy. Go up and say hi.”
“Alright,” Sierra said. She went upstairs with Holly.
Before they even reached the entertainment room, they heard Nicholas’s voice. “So, here’s the question. Who’s the killer?”
Tommy’s clear little voice rang out. “A.”
“Was it really that easy?” Nicholas sounded like he was having a moment of despair.
“Based on what you just said, only A fits,” Tommy answered easily.
“What are you two talking about?” Holly could tell Sierra was still feeling a bit off, so as soon as they got inside, she jumped in to break the tension. “It sounds lively here.”

“You’re back already?” Nicholas knew the two of them had gone to a party, so he was not too surprised. Instead, he stood said excitedly with a book in his hand, “Sierra, your boy is unbelievable!”
Sierra walked over and sat down beside Tommy. “What happened?”

Nicholas handed her the page. “Look at this. Who’s the killer?”
“A,” Holly and Sierra answered at the same time.
“A? What do you mean by A?” Nicholas said, feeling that neither of them was taking it seriously. “The people here are Mr. Lewis, Mr. Brown, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Johnson. Where did A come from?”
