The more Charlie thought about it, the angrier he got.

Anna had been a thorn in his eyes for decades, tormenting him every moment. He hated her, yet he could never pull her out.

“Show even the slightest bit of mercy for Anna and her daughter, then you can forget about marrying the you love forever,” Charlie warned.

“As long as you manage the company well and keep Sierra and the others from getting those shares, I won’t interfere in your marriage,” Charlie said, testing him. “Even if you want to marry someone nameless, I’ll allow it.”

Maxwell gave him a simple glance, said nothing, and walked away with an unreadable expression.

A minute later, he got into the car.
