Chapter 496
The moment the call with Sierra ended, Robin’s nerves tightened.
Today was supposed to be a holiday, and no one should have been working.
Unfortunately, this group got caught in John’s bad mood. Not only had they failed to finish the task from last month, but they had also fallen into a trap set by Solomon’s men.
“Robin… Help us out here.”
“We really didn’t expect Solomon to set us up like that.”
“We swear there won’t be a next time! Alright?”
The people beside him tugged at his sleeve and whispered under their breath. None of them wanted to keep getting scolded.
“You made the mistake, so how am I supposed to help?” Robin never played favorites in matters like this. “The fact that Mr. Henderson isn’t removing you from your positions is already taking your years of loyalty into account.”
They opened their mouths, wanting to say something, but held back. They knew they had made a huge mess this time, but…
Robin walked past them to John’s side and lowered his voice. “Ms. Bell called. Tommy will arrive at the airport in two hours. She asked us to pick him up.”
John paused for a moment, then said, “Go make the arrangements.”
“Yes.” Robin immediately went to get the car ready.
After Robin left, John’s cold gaze settled on the people in front of him. “I’ll give you one chance to fix this. I want results by the
time the holiday ends.”
“Yes,” they answered one after another, heaving a sigh of relief.
John then walked out of the office.
The executives stood there, holding their breaths. Only after he was out of sight did they finally relax.
“If it weren’t for Robin, we’d probably be done for this time.”
“And whose fault is that? If you two hadn’t fallen into Solomon’s trap, would I be losing my holiday too?”
“Don’t just blame us. All of you made the same mistake.”
“Stop it already. What matters now is fixing this before the holiday ends.”
“What do you think Robin said to Mr. Henderson that made him stop grilling us?”
They looked at one another, then shook their heads.
How could they guess something like that?
After leaving the conference room, John and Robin headed straight to the airport.
John said nothing the whole way there. He understood more clearly than ever that Sierra really did not want to keep in touch with him. She would rather call Robin than call him.
“Sir?” Robin felt a chill crawl down his back. He forced himself to speak to break the heavy atmosphere in the car.
John looked at him.
Robin said, “Why don’t you go back and rest while we pick up Mr. Tommy? You didn’t sleep at all last night. If you keep this up

you’re going to wear yourself out again.”
“It’s fine.” John could already guess why Tommy was coming.
Robin pressed down the words that he was going to say. He knew he would not be able to persuade him.
Two hours later, Tommy met up with John.
