Tommy sent that message about him letting another man get together with another woman straight to John.
John replied the same way he had before.
[Before you play matchmaker, look into his character, family background, and views on relationships. Make sure he really loves your Mom.]
The moment Tommy saw that, his mood got even worse.
What on earth had happened between his parents? Was John really going to let him set his mother up someone else?

“Looks like you don’t love Mom as much as you said you did.” Tommy changed tactics. “You forgot all about her the second you got divorced.”
John’s gaze drifted to the tall windows. If he hadn’t made a promise to Sierra, how could he ever have let her go? Since he could never disturb her again for the rest of his life, he might as well respect every choice she and Tommy made.
With that thought in mind, he pushed his feelings aside and sent a few more words before throwing himself back into work.
[Go to bed.]
Tommy was clearly upset. That did not sound like his dad at all. If it was not because he had piano lessons tomorrow, he would have flown back to Jade City and asked him face–to–face what was happening.
Not one person in that family of three slept well that night. Sierra stayed awake until almost dawn. John worked through the entire night. Tommy did not fall asleep until around three in the morning.
The next morning, Sierra and Tommy came downstairs yawning through breakfast. When Anna saw them, she joked, “Did you two sneak out to have fun behind my back last night?”
Tommy and Sierra exchanged a look. There was no way they could admit they had both lost sleep over John.
“Should I tell your piano teacher not to come today?” Anna asked when she saw how tired Tommy looked. “You can sleep a little longer.”
Tommy raised his face at Sierra. “Can I?”
“Yes.” Sierra did not mind much about this. She could just pay the tutor a little extra.
“Then can I take the next few days off from tutoring too?” Tommy asked carefully. “Including my hobby classes?”
Sierra paused. Anna was quite surprised, too.
Tommy scratched his head. “I want to go back to Jade City during the holiday break and bring some things there.”
With that one sentence, Sierra understood right away. Tommy wanted to go back and see John. If he only wanted to bring things back, he could have asked John to ship them here.
“Sure.” Sierra agreed to the request. She wouldn’t block something like this normally, anyway. “When do you want to go? I’ll book the ticket.”
Tommy thought about it. “This afternoon.”

“Sure,” Sierra said, nodding
Tommy looked at the page on her phone. “Mom?”
Sierra was still going through the process. “Yeah?”

“Can you have Marcus take me back?” Thinking about what John had said the night before, Tommy guessed the two of them had probably reached some kind of agreement. “Once I get to the airport, I’ll have Dad pick me up.”
Sierra’s hand stopped over the screen. After thinking it over, she agreed. “Okay.”
That afternoon, Sierra took Tommy and Marcus to the airport.
She had originally wanted to let John know about it, but after thinking it over, she called Robin instead.
“Ms. Bell.” Robin answered almost at once.
“Tommy will arrive at Jade City International Airport in two hours. Have someone pick him up,” Sierra said, briefly explaining the situation. “If anything comes up, contact me directly.”
Robin instinctively looked toward John, who was still chewing out a group of executives.
Sierra asked, “Is this a bad time?”
“No.” Robin denied it right away, then asked the question that had been bothering him. “I was just wondering why you didn’t tell Mr. John directly.”
Deep down, he still hoped Sierra and John would get back together.
“I don’t have his number.” Sierra came up with an excuse on the spot.
“Alright. I’ll pass it on to him right away,” Robin said, not bothering to call out the lie. He understood why she was handling it this way. “Other than Mr. Tommy, is anyone else coming with him?”
“Marcus is going with him too. Once he passes Tommy to your people, he’ll come straight back,” Sierra said, making everything as clear as possible. “You only need to pick Tommy up.
“Understood,” Robin said.
