Joey still sounded as carefree as ever. “As long as nobody gets hurt, the worst that happens is we pay a little money. What matters is us getting our anger out.”

Skyler said nothing. Being the more rational one, he ignored his boss’s advice. When he saw the other driver get out and start toward their car, he opened the driver’s door and stepped out too.

Joey turned to Sierra and met her puzzled gaze. “You think Skyler is handling things a little too slowly?”

Sierra said nothing.

That was the normal way to deal with it.

“Don’t you think this is strange?” Joey leaned against the door.

Sierra looked at him, confused. What was strange about it?

“This is a private road. Any car that gets in here knows my license plate.” Joey folded his arms, his eyebrow raising slightly. ” They knew whose car this was and still rammed us on purpose. Why do you think that is?”

Joey snapped his fingers. “Smart!”

Sierra instinctively looked outside. The moment she saw the woman standing beside Skyler in a business suit, her gaze froze.

Joey noticed the change in her expression.

Before he could ask, Skyler walked back over and spoke through the window. “Sir, Ms. Bell, the driver wants to apologize in

person.”

Joey looked at Sierra.

It was obvious what he meant by that look. If she agreed, they would let the woman come over. If she did not, they could handle it through insurance.

Sierra said nothing. She took out her phone, found Brenda’s number, and called it.

The woman outside didn’t react, and no ringtone sounded.

“Skyler.” Joey’s voice stayed lazy. “Can our car take a hit?”

“Turn around and hit her back. Keep it under control and don’t kill anyone.” Joey said it as casually as if he was talking about the

weather.
