Chapter 541
Solomon looked at Sierra, as refined and gentle as ever. “Long time no see,”

“You probably didn’t come here to catch up.” Sierra was as direct as ever. “My mom said you wanted to see me. What for?”
“Do you know something happened to John?” Solomon asked.
“I do,” Sierra said.
“Go back and see him,” Solomon said.
“We’re already divorced.” Sierra gave the same answer as she did everyone else and refused to show even a little of her emotion. “You came to the wrong place.”
“When I made that deal with you back then, you promised to spare his life.” Solomon brought up the past again, his voice calm. “I came to collect on that promise.”
“We left on our own back then,” Sierra said.
Solomon nodded. “Indeed.”
“So the deal doesn’t count,” argued Sierra.

“Whether it counts or not depends on whether I did what I promised, not on whether you used it,” Solomon said. ” As the head of Medicare Software, you should understand that.”
Sierra knew that, of course.
But she did not believe it was simply that simple.
“He’s dying,” Solomon suddenly said.
Sierra’s eyes widened. She immediately said without hesitation, “That’s impossible.”
“If you don’t go back, he won’t make it past the new year.” Solomon simply informed her of the truth without sugarcoating it. “He’s been in terrible shape in the month since your divorce. He eats every meal and goes to bed on time every night, but he throws up everything after that and barely sleeps at all.”
Sierra’s heart tightened.
Solomon looked at her before saying, “He wants to keep living, but his mind and emotions aren’t his to control. You know he hates hospitals, but he still went to the psychiatry. He detests it the most, but he still went and had his sleeping pills prescribed from a doctor.”
Then, Solomon continued, “He passed out once before this. He called out your name even when he was half conscious. Do you know what he said?”
Sierra looked up at him, lips tight, and said nothing.
“I can’t make Sierra worry. I’ve got to get better.”
As Solomon repeated those words, the usual schemes in his eyes vanished, leaving only a brother’s mixed feelings for his younger brother.
The words pierced Sierra’s heart like an arrow, and she could barely bear the pain as it refused to let go.

“He knew his mental state was deteriorating, so he forced himself to go to the hospital and forced himself to take the medicine.”
This was the second time Solomon had so much pity for his younger brother since he was a child.
“He did it all so that if you ever needed him, he could stand by your side and be in the best shape possible.” Sierra’s nose stung, and her chest felt like it was about to burst.
Solomon stood up. “John was wrong about what happened before, but as his older brother, I hope you’ll go see him.”
“Didn’t you hate him?” Sierra’s voice was low and heavy, almost emotionless. “Why are you here telling me all this?”
Solomon seemed to return to his usual self. “When did I ever say I hated him?”
Sierra opened her mouth.
Solomon went on, “No matter how hard we fought over the family estate, he’s still my brother. I can’t just watch him die without doing anything.”
After that, he left without giving Sierra a chance to ask anything else.
On his way out, Anna politely asked him to stay for breakfast. Solomon thanked her, then walked outside and got into his car.
