After she declared that she was not going to let this go, Tammy and Marcus both looked at Sierra at the same time.
Meanwhile Sierra waited until Mr. Sunderland’s car had disappeared from view before she spoke to Marcus. “Find two people pretending they’re his enemies and beat him up one night.”
Marcus stared at her. Then he said with complete seriousness, “Boss, you’ve changed.”
Sierra looked at him. “How?”
“You used to hit back the second someone crossed you.” Marcus summed up how much she had changed lately. “Now you’ve learned how to keep a low profile.”
“I don’t spend much time in Jade City.” Sierra handled things much more carefully now. She was no longer the kind of person who would rush in headfirst the moment she got upset. “If I got into it with him directly and then left, what if he turned around and went after Tammy again?”
That was also why she had stayed so calm just now. Mr. Sunderland might not be brave enough to do anything to her because of the people behind her, but Tammy had no one to rely on here…
Wait.
Wasn’t Tammy with Solomon?
“Thank you.” Tammy meant it with all her heart.
“It’s nothing. Just a small matter.” Sierra said before asking what she really wanted to know. “How did Mr. Sunderland end up targeting you?”
“My agent arranged that dinner for me. She said a drama series was looking for the right person to play the third female lead and told me to build a good relationship with the producer and investors.” Tammy did not hide anything. Sierra had already helped her a lot. “I didn’t expect it to turn out like this.”
This was quite common in the entertainment industry. But most of the time, if a deal could not be reached, then it would be dropped. Very rarely would it turn into someone trying to force it.
“You’re…” Sierra thought it through. “An actress?”
“Yes.” Tammy nodded. She looked much calmer than before. “It’s just that nothing I’ve been in so far has left any impression.” Her role in everything that had been published was background work with no name and no lines. In some of it, her face was barely even visible.
As for the projects where she actually had real scenes, every one of them had been suppressed by Solomon.
“They’re still in production?” Sierra asked.
“No.” The thought of it made Tammy sad. “They were buried. They might never air.”
Sierra frowned.
She was about to ask something else when Tammy’s phone rang. It was her agent.
“How did things go with Mr. Sunderland and the others?” her agent asked the moment the call connected.
“It fell apart.” Tammy did not hide it. She told her exactly what had happened. “He kept touching me during dinner and even tore my clothes.”
“And then?” her agent asked.
“I ran.”

“Can yoni stop making my life harder?” Her agent sounded angry, as if she had never expected Tammy to be this kind of woman. “Forget him tearing your clothes. That was your opportunity, even if he wanted you in his bed!”
Temmy’s grip on her phone tightened
Her agent kept going
“It’s not like you don’t know your situation. Every show you’re part of ends up unable to be aired. People in the industry are already saying you’re cursed, that anything you’re in gets pulled. Forget producers looking for you. A lot of actors won’t even take a role once they hear you’re in the cast, and you’re still being picky.”
The pressure inside Tammy kept building
It was not because she was cursed. It was because Solomon had done it on purpose. No one knew he had been suppressing her projects. That was why everyone thought she was bad luck, that any drama she appeared in would end up shelved.
“I’ll find the right time to arrange another meeting for you,” her agent said. “When that happens, you’d better apologize properly. The company doesn’t keep dead weight. If you still can’t land any roles, then get ready to pay damages for breach-of- contract.”
The line then went dead.
Tanimy’s fingers turned cold around the phone, and her heart slowly sank.
“Do you need help?” Sierra asked.
“No.” Tammy forced a gentle smile. She did not want to get Sierra into any more trouble. “I’m sorry you have to see that.”
“Why can’t your shows air?” There was concern in Sierra’s eyes. She was not trying to listen in, but the person on the other end had simply been too loud to ignore. “You don’t have to answer if it’s not easy for you.”
