Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 581

At Sierra’s defiance regarding Tammy, Solomon asked with a frown, "Why?"

"I don’t trust anyone in your family," Sierra said, unwilling to mince words. She was not just talking about Solomon alone. "The way you sounded on the phone made me feel like Tammy would not be safe with you."

Solomon did not entertain that statement.

Sierra went on, "If I hand her over to you and something happens to her tonight, I would be responsible too."

"I can understand why you don’t trust John." Solomon's voice stayed calm as usual, with almost no emotion in it. "But I don’t think I have done anything to make you question my character."

"You used me against John," Sierra said.

"Wasn't that a cooperation between us?" Solomon asked.

"You took the first step," Sierra said.

Solomon admitted it. "I thought asking you to come back to save him would make us even?"

"When Tammy wakes up tomorrow, I’ll tell her you came by." Sierra ignored the question and made her stance clear. "But I won’t hand her over to you."

"If I told you I was dating her, would you hand her over to me then?" Solomon asked suddenly.

Sierra looked at him in surprise.

Solomon hid his emotions again. "Never mind. She’s afraid of the dark, so can you please leave a bedside lamp on for her when she goes to bed?"

"Alright," Sierra said.

Solomon thanked her and went downstairs. He did not leave right away, however. After he got into the car, he looked out the window at the building in front of him. People called it a villa, but it felt more like a fortress.

His gaze slowly darkened.

"Drive a little farther ahead," he told the driver, and the driver did as asked.

When the car stopped, Solomon rolled down the window and lit a cigarette. He rested his arm outside as smoke drifted around him, blurring the look on his face.

He picked up his phone and opened his chat with Tammy. He then sent a message.

[Did you really pass out?]

Tammy saw it, but she did not open the chat. The moment she did, he would know.

Robin immediately reported everything to John, who was waiting at Solomon's home for him to return.

Sierra knew nothing about any of this.

After watching Solomon leave, she did not go to Tammy right away. She was worried he might suddenly come back.

"Solomon's gone." Marcus came back after keeping watch and reported what he had seen. "Someone stood by his car window for a while before he left. It was too far away, so I could not see who it was or hear what they said."

Sierra relaxed a little. "Alright, thanks."

She got up and went upstairs. To be safe, she told Grant to shut the front gate. Only after that did she go see Tammy and tell her the danger had passed for the night and she could rest easy.

"Sierra." Tammy didn't want to hide it from her anymore.

Sierra looked at her. "What is it?"

"Solomon is keeping me as his mistress," Tammy said slowly, one word at a time.

Sierra's expression barely changed. Instead, she asked, "Why would you say that?"
