John turned to Robin and asked, “Before, you said that Solomon used his influence to suppress several of Tammy’s shows?”

Robin nodded. “Yes.”

They had not known about it at first. Robin had only found out by accident when he went to help with the temporary transition on John’s behalf.

“Tell them to release every drama Tammy was ever filmed in.” John did not like meddling in other people’s business, but Solomon had gone too far this time. “If anything happens, put it all on me.”

“Understood,” Robin said.

Lance couldn’t help speaking up. “Boss, you finally came to your senses.”

John looked at him.

Robin did too.

“You have no idea how worried I was when you ignored Ms. Bell all that time,” Lance said.

He had always wanted the two of them to work things out together, so during that stretch when they were not in contact, he had felt stuffy the whole time.

Robin let out a light cough. “Focus on your driving.”

Lance grinned and pressed the gas, following behind Sierra’s car the whole way.

However, when they got to the airport, Robin noticed that John’s gaze had stayed fixed in Sierra’s direction.

So, he boldly said, “Boss, there’s a project in Harbor City

“When?” John asked.

t needs you there in person. What do you think?”

“Tomorrow morning, ten o’clock.” Robin said sincerely. “The negotiation will probably take about a week to complete.”

John replied calmly, “Alright.”

The tightness in Robin’s chest finally eased a little. He was glad he had guessed it right. “The private jet is scheduled to take off in half an hour. It will arrive twenty minutes before Ms. Bell. Should we head over now?”

“You handle it.” John’s expression did not change.

Robin nodded at once and contacted the pilot to proceed as planned. Lance then exchanged a look with him. The same thing was written clearly in both their eyes.

The boss finally thought it through!

For almost the entire trip, John protected Sierra from the shadows. He never showed up in front of her, and he did not interfere in her affairs. He was also keeping his promise while protecting her.

They arrived in Harbor City a little after five that early evening.

Robin had already arranged a car in Harbor City. The moment they got off the plane, they got in. They waited with Sierra’s car arrived, then quietly escorted her all the way home

“Boss.” Robin watched Sierra walk through the gates, then suddenly remembered

something important

John looked up.

Robin checked the schedule. “Mr. Tommy’s fifth birthday is coming up soon. How are you planning to celebrate with hing

In the past, he and Sierra had always prepared Tommy’s birthday party together. Now that they were separated, they probably couldn’t do it just like how they did it in the past.

“I have already made arrangements. You don’t need to worry.” John had already thought through how to handle it.

He would not miss Tommy’s birthday, but he would not break his promise to Sierra either.

Sierra was thinking about the same thing when she got out of the car. Before she could sort it out, Tommy, who already knew she was back, ran out of the house and threw himself into her arms.

“Mom!”

Sierra caught him and kissed him on the cheek.

Tommy giggled and said, “Mom.”

“Yeah?” Sierra asked.

“Don’t get so happy so soon.” Tommy glanced toward the house and deliberately kept her guessing. “There’s still a tough battle waiting for you inside.”

Sierra looked confused, “What tough battle?”

“Ten minutes ago, a group of uninvited guests showed up,” Tommy said with a straight face. “That includes, but is not limited to, your actual dad, your actual uncle, and your actual cousin. They all seem to be here to congratulate you.”
