“I don’t know,” Marcus said honestly when Sierra asked if he and Tony planned this.

“Alright.” Sierra did not refuse.

“For now, this is the company’s organizational chart and the management team’s profiles.” Maxwell handed the documents to her. “Once you’re done, I’ll take you to meet them.”

Sierra took them. “Alright.”

Her mother had already shown her their information at home, and she almost knew their backgrounds by heart. Still, knowing it was one thing. She still had to go through the process.

Twenty minutes later, she was done. Compared with the copy her mother had, this one only included basic information.

“I’m done,” Sierra said, handing the documents back to him.

Over the next hour, Maxwell took her around the company. He explained the department’s work and introduced its manager. By the end, she had met almost everyone listed in the file. A few were away on business, so she did not get to meet them.

“If there’s anything else you want to know, you can tell me now,” Maxwell said after the formalities were

over.

“I still need some time to sort through everything I learned today.” Sierra did not ask for much. “We can talk about the rest later.”

Maxwell did not say much.

After a brief exchange, he sent them on their way. The whole time, they stayed polite and distant. No one would have guessed they were cousins.
