Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 603

Sierra glanced at Marcus in the passenger seat when Tony said that. "Marcus won't let anything happen to me."

A hint of surprise appeared in Tony's eyes. Meanwhile, Marcus instantly felt better already.

Just as he thought, he was still the one his boss cared the most.

"Don't worry. No matter what happens, I'll keep you safe," Marcus said in his usual formal tone, making his position clear. "I won't give Tony the slightest chance to take advantage of anything."

"Sure." Sierra trusted him.

"You really do trust him." There was something unreadable in Tony's voice.

Marcus glanced at him.

Tony's expression did not change as he still looked completely at ease.

"You can trust me the way you trust him," he said as he drove. "I knew those two women were working with that man because I have excellent observation skills and very sharp instincts."

Sierra looked at Marcus. Marcus knew Tony far better than she did, since he was usually the one around him.

"The first half should not be believed, but the second half is trustworthy," Marcus said.

"Go on," Sierra said to Tony.

"Over the past two months, I have gotten a rough sense of what kind of person you are. The moment that man rushed over, I knew someone had set up that whole scene to frame you," Tony explained. "A stunt like that usually needs bystanders to jump in and stir things up. Otherwise, he'd just be treated like a lunatic and dragged away by security."

Sierra thought it over and realized he was right. "Then how did you pick out those two women?"

There were a lot of people there, at least a few dozen. Picking out the right people in just a few seconds wasn't something an ordinary person could do.

"To be honest, I know a little about micro-expressions and psychology." Tony smiled and glanced at the rearview mirror. "Foes that give me any bonus points? Can I get a raise?"

Marcus was stunned. He answered before Sierra could. "No."

"Miss," Tony suddenly called to her.

Sierra looked up. "Yeah?"

Tony straightened up and stopped joking. "It will be better if you take both of us with you whenever you go out from now on. If they're willing to use something like this against you, then they'll definitely do something worse later."

"I know." Sierra had been prepared for that from the moment she went to that party.

Whether it was Peter or Charlie, neither of them would let her buy back the shares that had originally belonged to her mother that easily. At first, they might not have the bravery to do anything because of Cyrus.

But once they saw her getting closer and closer to buying them back, both of them would make their move.

That man's appearance had only been the beginning.

A small warning that it had truly begun.
