Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 619

Chapter 619

“She’s getting suspicious Tow” Marcus said in a serious tone regarding Sierra.

“Isn’t that normal?” Tony was can, thinking Marcus was overreacting about it. “It would be a problem if she wasn’t.”

Marcus stared at him.

“I wasn’t wrong,” Tony said.

Marcus then brought up something else even in the middle of talking about something so serious. “You were disrespectful to the Miss. I’m reporting you to her.”

“How childish can you be?” Tony was especially quick with his sharp tongue. “You’re a grown man. Why are you still complaining like a kid? Can you please handle it like an adult?”

“Alright,” Marcus said without hesitation.

The next second, he got up and walked toward him.

Tony froze.

Facing Marcus’s stiff, intimidating presence, his composure finally cracked. “What are you doing? I’m the bodyguard, driver, and secretary now. If anything happens to me, she’ll definitely… Argh!”

Tony cried out in pain as Marcus grabbed him in one clean submission move. He was fast and efficient, without a hint of hesitation.

“You’re serious?!” Tony grimaced. “Ouch, ouch, ouch! Let’s go already!”

“This is the method you suggested,” Marcus reminded him, his expression barely changing. “Accept it.”

“Weren’t we talking about how she’s becoming suspicious?” Tony tried to change the subject. “Why are you doing this then?”

Marcus answered bluntly. “You were disrespectful to her.”

Tony tried to argue, then remembered Marcus was inhumanly stubborn and gave up. “I apologize and I’m wrong. What I said earlier crossed a line. I’ll apologize to her in person tomorrow.”

Marcus let go of him, and Tony instantly took the chance to launch a sneak attack.

While he could never win in a straight fight, there was no way he would still lose after catching Marcus off guard in an ambush!

Reality proved otherwise, though.

No one could be the best at everything. Tony might be far better at psychology, reading expressions, and driving, but he was no match for Marcus in a fight. Even with a sneak attack, Marcus handled him easily.

“Ah! That hurts!”

After several more yelps, the room finally went quiet. Marcus only let him go after Tony apologized again.

“We’re only her bodyguard, driver, assistant, and secretary. A reminder is enough, so don’t show off too much,” Marcus said in the tone of an elder lecturing someone younger. “Don’t forget the reason why we’re here.”

“You don’t need to tell me that,” Tony shot back.

Marcus’s gaze turned more serious.

Tony sighed and gave in. “I was just worried she’d walk straight into a trap.”

Marcus thought about that.

y knew exactly how to deal with him and went straight for the weak spot. “She’s been interacting with this circle for less than half a year. Shouldn’t we warn her a little more as per the positions we trold?”

Marcus nodded. “We should ”

Tony pressed on. “Do you want to see her suffer or get hurt?”

Marcus shook his head. “No. She’s a good person.

It was easy for Tony to push Marcus into agreeing psychologically with a little nudging. “Then shouldn’t we give her proper warnings?”

Marcus nodded again. “Right.”

“I’ll watch what I say from now on. Tony knew Sierra had looked into them through the security company, but he did not care. Her caution was a good thing. “But… Would a normal security company even hire someone as robotic as you?”

Marcus looked at him.

Tony frowned slightly. What was with that openly disdainful look?

“I joined a security company,” Marcus reminded him.

“You don’t need to remind me.” Tony leaned back in his chair. “It’s not like I have a bad memory.”

It was only after joining the security company that he had come here through them and got the job.
