Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 632

"Sierra, seeing that I literally prostrated myself before you, how are you going to show your gratitude for that?" Joey got to his feet awkwardly and brushed away the dust on him.

"Is catching the wine you spilled thanks enough?" Sierra looked down at the stains on her light-colored coat and. Joey just felt weird for the hundredth time. "If not, I can pour you another glass."

Joey looked at her. "If I said I didn't do it on purpose, would you believe me?"

Sierra said nothing since it was believable enough. Who would fake a fall on flat ground with so many people watching?

"I'm going to get changed," Sierra said. She never liked wearing dirty clothes. She turned to John and said, "Stay here with Tommy."

"I'll go with you." John did not care about the stain on his own clothes.

Sierra refused. "No need."

She left by herself.

Joey glanced at John, who was still watching her leave. Then, he walked over and nudged him with his elbow. "You're not going to change? Your coat got dirty too."

John looked at him. Joey still had that lazy, carefree look on his face.

"You did that on purpose?" John asked.

John had thought it was an accident. From the moment Joey walked over to the moment he fell, it had all looked completely natural. Then, he had to say that.

"No need to get so touched." A faint smile appeared on John's face.

John said nothing.

"You're not going?" Joey asked.

"I'm not."

Sierra hated tricks like that. If he followed her, that would only make her dislike him even more.

"This is so boring. I really don't know what Sierra sees in you," Joey said in his usual casual tone.

The moment John crossed the lawn and entered the hotel, he called out to Robin. His face stayed as calm as ever, but worry was already creeping into his chest. "Where did Cedric go?"

"I lost him," Robin said guiltily.

Kenneth had told him Cedric had followed Sierra inside and told him to keep an eye on him. But the second he came in, Cedric was gone. He had moved far too fast.

"What floor is the changing room on?" John asked as he searched.

"The second floor." Robin had checked all of that before they came, just in case something happened and they needed to move fast instead of wasting time asking around. "I'm on my way there now."

John hung up and went straight to the second floor.

The moment he stepped out of the elevator, he saw it on the right, and the door was currently wide open. He walked over without a second thought.

The instant he stepped inside, he saw Sierra there, taking off her coat to change.
