Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 671

"Does that mean you have to go see her every day?" Danny asked with a judging tone, obviously unconvinced with what Solomon said about Tammy.

"He already told you he's not looking at marriage, so you don't have to worry about it that much," Agnes cut in. "You know Solomon. When has he ever given us anything to worry about since he was a boy?"

"Don't forget that we're still discussing a marriage alliance with the Jones family," Danny reminded him.

"I know," Solomon said.

"Do you like the Wilson girl?" Danny asked.

Solomon's expression did not change. His tone stayed calm as he said, "We haven't talked much, so I can't say I like her. But don't worry. I'll handle all my relationships properly."

"There's something I need you to do," Danny finally said as he decided to get to the point. "Do it, and I won't interfere in your relationships anymore. I won't meddle in your affairs with that little celebrity of yours too."

Solomon remained unmoved. After so many years in this family, he knew behind every word was a trap.

"It's my duty to serve the family," he said, making sure Danny couldn't find anything to complain about. "Tell me what it is."

"I want you to take back the assets John gave Sierra in his divorce," Danny said. Every time he thought about how much John had simply handed over to Siera, he felt suffocated. "And the Henderson family must have Tommy's custody."

He had heard too much gossip lately.

Since he was a boy, Tommy had been raised as Henderson Group's future successor. Most of the people in their circle knew how important he was to the Henderson family. Now, many of them were saying the Henderson family could not even win custody of a child.

What would happen to his reputation if that rumor continued?

Regardless, they had to take those assets and Tommy's custody back.

"That's something between John and Sierra. It won't be appropriate for me to interfere," Solomon said.

He had not forgotten John's warning. He would avoid dealing with John or clashing with him as much as possible unless there was no choice.

"This is not just about them," Danny said, trying to persuade him. "This matter has already damaged the family's reputation."

Back then, Solomon had simply thought that John was too young. That would only make their parents target her.

But after that, John protected Sierra very well.

So well, that even Solomon had barely interacted with her.

How exactly had he done it?

That night, Solomon returned to his manor and looked at the empty rooms. For the first time, a strange feeling rose in him. He suddenly thought maybe marrying someone he liked, having a kid, and creating their own cozy little family like John did wouldn't be so bad after all.

Without thinking, he pictured Tammy in his mind. She was so gentle, she would probably be a very good mother.

At that thought, he took out his phone, opened his chat with Tammy, and sent her a message.

[Where are you?]
