Chapter 107
“Stop lying to me. What did you do to her?” she screamed, hysterically, losing her composure.
“Nothing she didn’t deserve,” my voice is cutting as she falls silent and stares at me. “With all that she had planned for me, the two of you had planned for me, did you think I would go quietly?”
“She’s your mother too,” she screamed.
“And?” My voice goes dark.
How dare she try and guilt trip me when I wasn’t even blood-related to her or her disgusting mother? I want to hit her, but I refrain. For now.
Damien’s already quietly gone into the bathroom.
“How can you be so cruel?” she whispered, her voice shaking.
She’s still furious but slowly coming to the realization I’m not about to tell her much of anything. She’s shocked I’ve gone so far, no longer the docile, obedient Raven she used to know. If she only knew…I tried not to laugh. What I had instore for her was something she could never have imagined.
“How can you?” I countered back, “You knew exactly what was in store for me when you left the bridal store, and you didn’t care. Now mother is missing,” I smiled coldly, “and you’re panicking.”
“You bitch,” she breathed with flashing eyes, “you won’t get away with this. I’m going to find her and make you fucking pay.”
“Goodluck,” my voice is super sweet, “I wish you well.”
It makes her even more furious.
“Trust me, I’m going to get even. Mother is going to get even.”
