Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

“Raven didn’t take anything away from you; you never had Hades in the first place!” Aeress shouted, antagonising MaryAnne further.

“Shut up,

“MaryAnne growled, striding over and stepping deliberately on Aeress’s ankle with her heels, a cracking sound suddenly sounding as Aeress gave a pained cry and went ashen.

She’d broken Aeress’s ankle, deliberately.

“Enough. Hurt me instead. Let Aeress go. I’ll do anything you want.” I shouted out in desperation,

“No,” Aeress screamed, shaking her head, “it won’t do any good, Raven!”

MaryAnne disappeared behind a door as Aeress, and I shot each other concerned looks. The sound of a moving trolley made me feel nauseas. MaryAnne stepped back inside the room, wheeling a trolley with her. It was filled with different implements. Various tools. Enough to torture one slowly to death. I blinked, even as Aeress turned even paler. MaryAnne picked up a knife, examining it closely, mesmerized as it glinted in her hands. Her smile grew wider.

Marissa swallowed hard. “Mother, it’s not too late to leave. We could just leave them here, make a life somewhere else. Hell get our pack back now that Alpha Drake is dead…” she trailed off.

Slap. Marissa’s head flung to the side as MaryAnne hit her, her smile growing cold.

“God, how did I end up with such a useless daughter?” she sneered, “Haven’t I taught you properly? Never let anybody harm you or insult you. Sinclair’s takes care of their grudges and enemies. Stop being soft.”
