Chapter 40
Our journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions, with his past betrayals casting a shadow over our relationship. However, we made a conscious decision to work on rekindling our love. Taking it day by day, we chose to rebuild the trust that had been shattered by his actions.
We agreed to take things slow, allowing ourselves time to rediscover each other and truly understand the depth of our feelings.
As we delved into meaningful conversations and shared experiences, I found myself gradually opening up to the possibility of falling for him once more. It wasn’t easy, but withpatience and communication, we began to bridge the gap that once seemed insurmountable.
Zander finally confessed to the pack about rejecting and mistreating me.
Leaving some details about Crystal and the vampire.
He even went on trial before the council, and they nearly stripped him of his position.
Eight Months Later
It’s my wedding day!
It’s my wedding day!
“Stop being a snob and let me hold my son,” Marcus rolls his eyes, disrupting my daydream.
“Marc, honey, today is my wedding day. You should be helping my case, especially since I’m pregnant as a duck! “I glare at him while bouncing Cole on my lap.
The little bundle of joy giggles in my arms like a maniac, making both me and his father laugh.
Cole is Marc’s five-month-old baby, and he is so cute and full of energy. Marcus was beyond happy to have another photocopy of himself.
That boy was completely ungrateful to my sister because he looked nothing like her. At least for me, Louis had some of my features, but Cole? He took everything from his dad-his hair, his eye color, even the way he laughed.
The day he was born, Marcus cried so much. I cried for him too-tears of joy. Who would have thought that the boy who was once on the verge of committing suicide would now be married with children? Mom and Crystal cried too but Liana was so excited.
Although a teenager, still adores her mom.
Life has been good. God has been good to him.
I am his godmother, and I take every chance I get to be with him.
I eventually forgave Crystal, and now we close, more than we were before. She tells me anything that is bothering her and I help as best as I can.

Louis was ecstatic to be closer to his cousins. My brother and I still weren’t exactly close, but we were trying.
“Really, girl? Zander is going crazy, wondering why you’re not ready yet. He wanted to come here, but your brother had to physically restrain him,” Marcus glares at me. “Give me Cole and get into the dress already.”
“We’re just redoing our wedding in front of the Moon Goddess. He is already my husband, duh,” I roll my eyes at him and hand my little cutie over.
“Babe, please make sure she’s ready in ten,” he says to Crystal and kisses her cheek on his way out.
I love how they adore each other-something Zander and I have been doing a lot lately, adoring one another.
“Mummy, are you ready?” my son barges into the room, looking so handsome in his tux and black tie.
“Yes, baby,” I smile, rubbing my cute bump over my white dress.
Marcus specifically designed and handmade this dress for me.
It highlights my barely-there three-month-old bump-a mermaid-tail corset gown with detachable sleeves. I decided against a veil this time; it’s going to be a small ceremony with only me and my loved ones.
“You’re beautiful, Mama. I love you,” he says before hugging me and running away, giggling.
A few moments later, my dad walks in, smiling. 1
