Frank’s gaze softened as he looked at Sophia. “Sounds good.”

Easton had just finished a meeting when he got a call from Stella.

She said, “Easton, I’m sorry. If I hadn’t twisted my ankle at home last night, you wouldn’t have had to rush over right after your flight and get photographed by the paparazzi.”

Easton rubbed his forehead, saying, “I’ve had Gordon take care of the trending news. Don’t worry. Next time David isn’t feeling well, you can contact Gordon to get him a family doctor.

“There’s no need for you to take him to the hospital in the middle of the night. David is over four now, and you can’t carry him by yourself.”

Stella smiled. “Alright, I’ll keep that in mind.”

After hanging up, Stella walked into a private room at a club.

Minnie handed her a glass of wine. “Stella, how did it go? Mr. Foster didn’t say anything, did he?”

Stella replied, “No. Luckily, your boyfriend told me in time; otherwise, I wouldn’t have known when Easton returned from Menolia.”

Minnie let out a sigh of relief. She had been worried Stella might be upset that her boyfriend hadn’t told her about Easton’s sudden business trip to Menolia after the Weston Group incident.

Yet it wasn’t his fault. He was on a business trip, too, so it was understandable that he didn’t know Easton’s whereabouts.

Minnie said, “Good. Thanks to all the buzz online today, Weston Group’s stock hit its limit right before closing. At least that helped us recover some of the losses.”

Minnie topped off Stella’s glass.

Stella smirked, lips curling in confidence. “As long as Easton’s around, the Weston Group will never fall. Besides, I have David. There’s no way Easton would let us suffer.”

Minnie stifled a laugh behind her hand. “Yeah, you won this, Stella.”

Stella set her glass down, her eyes suddenly turning serious. “Someone told me earlier that Nicolas gave Sophia a heavy dose of drugs on the day he tried to kidnap her, but before he could do anything, Easton arrived and rescued her.

“Where they went after that is unknown, but I suspect they might have had sex.”

Minnie looked shocked. “For real? Wouldn’t that give Sophia the upper hand? What if they fell for each other again because of this?”

Stella shook her head. “That’s impossible. They never loved each other before. Besides, Easton is a healthy man. If anything had happened under those circumstances, it would be natural.

“They slept many times after they got married, but they never fell for each other. Five years won’t change anything.”

Stella completely shuts down Minnie’s guess.

She continued, “The Weston family lost 650 million dollars because of Sophia. I just can’t let that slide.” Minnie leaned closer, lowering her voice, “So, Stella, what are you going to do now?”

Stella smirked. “No rush. If Sophia keeps running into trouble, suspicion will naturally fall on us. We need to wait for the right moment and take it step by step.”
