Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 127

127 Chapter 127

127.Chapter 127

May had always been drawn to attractive faces, no matter the gender. She happily rode alongside Annie for a few laps around the riding club.

Sophia sat atop her horse, riding slowly by Julian’s side. She blurted out, unable to hold back any longer,” Julian, how do you really feel about Annie?”

Julian looked down. “She’s great.”

Sophia was speechless. She thought, ‘Yeah, she’s a great person, but you just don’t have any feelings for her. Is that what you mean?’

“Do you plan to keep interacting with her like this even after marriage?” Sophia asked, sounding puzzled.

“I’ll make sure she’s taken care of,” Julian answered quietly.

Sophia knew Julian too well; he seemed polite and refined, always composed, no matter who he was dealing with, but she knew this-if he didn’t care about someone, he always stayed a bit distant and cool with them.

Sophia saw no point in saying more. After all, they were tied by an arranged marriage, and they needed time to know each other better. Sophia knew that all too well.

Still, she genuinely wished Julian’s marriage would be a happy one, so she said, “You know Annie’s really into you.”

Julian looked at the woman ahead, who was enjoying riding the horse, and for a moment, his eyes softened. “I know.”

Sophia explained that she merely wanted him to understand Annie’s feelings for him, hoping he wouldn’t let her down.

Meanwhile, Easton and Ryan changed into their riding gear and waited in the clubhouse lobby for Fletcher’s people to bring their horses over.

“Hey, weren’t we supposed to hit the golf course? How come we’re suddenly going horseback riding instead?” Ryan asked, sounding a bit thrown off.

Easton lit a cigarette, his tone cool as ever. “There’s someone at the club you’d want to see.”

What he didn’t say out loud was that there was someone he was hoping to see there, too.

Ryan’s eyes lit up. “Wait, is May here?”

“Yeah,” Sophia replied.

Ryan raised an eyebrow and smiled. “And Sophia is also here, right?”

Easton tapped his cigarette ash into the ashtray. “So, did you handle the Hayes Group issue properly?”

“Come on, you know I always get things done. They’ll be notified today,” Ryan replied with a smirk.

Easton nodded.

They hadn’t been waiting in the clubhouse for long before someone showed up, leading their horses over.

When they reached the lawn, they immediately saw Sophia and May right there.

Sophia was galloping across the grass, her eyes sparkling with joy. She was already stunning, but in that instant she looked even more dazzling-so much so that Easton couldn’t tear his gaze away from her.

Sophia and May slowed to a stop just as Sophia’s phone started buzzing. She glanced at it and found that it was Frank calling, so she picked up. “Hey, Frank, what’s up?”

“Sophia, I’m really sorry, but I have to head overseas for a business trip tomorrow. I won’t be able to make it to Mr. Roth’s wedding next week,” Frank admitted, clearly feeling bad about it.

“Tomorrow? Is everything okay?” Sophia asked, a note of concern in her voice.

“Yeah, there’s been some trouble with our suppliers in Evaris. I need to go over and sort things out. I might be

stuck there for a while,” Frank said, sounding reluctant.

Sophia got it, said a few quick words, and ended the call.

“Ms. Roth, looks like you and Mr. Hayes love each other very much, huh?” Easton said, his voice low and chilling.

Sophia turned around instinctively and found herself caught in his intense stare.
