Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 131

131 Chapter 131

131.Chapter 131

Annie’s voice trembled as she said, “I thought you’d forgotten all about it.”

Julian cradled her face in his hands, gently wiping away her tears with his thumb. He said, “I always figured

the most romantic thing was to save my confession for our wedding day.”

Annie let out a tearful laugh and said, “You silly.”

Julian pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, his gaze full of tenderness as he looked at her. He said, “Annie, I love you.”

“I love you too,” Annie whispered back.

Annie’s parents were overwhelmed with emotion. All this time, they’d been afraid Annie was the only one with real feelings, worried it was just a marriage of convenience.

If it hadn’t been for the engagement arranged by Annie’s grandfather before he passed, they never would have agreed to let Annie marry someone who didn’t truly care for her.

Now, they finally saw that Julian loved Annie far more than they ever imagined-and he’d carried that love for seven years straight.

Julian and Annie arrived at the hotel right at the lucky hour, and Sophia was helping Annie with a quick makeup fix.

Sophia exclaimed, “Wait, so you and Julian met all the way back in Florince seven years ago? That’s straight- up romantic. Julian sure knows how to hide things-he managed to run into you again and totally acted like he didn’t know you.

“That whole ‘cool but secretly softie’ vibe is classic Julian.”

She snickered as she said it, unable to hold back her smile.

Annie said, “Hey, don’t make fun of Julian.”

“Okay,” Sophia said with a wink.

Annie reached out and grabbed Sophia’s hand. She said, “Seriously, thank you, Sophia.”

Sophia looked a little confused. She asked, “What’s with the thank you all of a sudden?”

Annie looked her straight in the eyes and said, “Back when nobody really knew how Julian felt about me, you still stood by my side and treated me like family. That honestly meant the world to me.”

Sophia patted Annie’s hand and grinned. She said, “I never overthought any of it. All I cared about was that you loved Julian.

“From the first moment I saw you, I could tell that you had a thing for him. That’s honestly why I liked you right from the start.”

Annie gave her a gentle smile and said, “Same here.”

The whole wedding was filled with warmth.

Standing among the guests, Sophia found herself swept up by the touching atmosphere.

Easton arrived at the wedding just in time to see Julian and Annie finishing their ring exchange. He walked over and stood next to Ryan.

“What took you so long?” Ryan asked.

Easton took a sip of his wine and said, “The Menolia branch sprang an emergency meeting on me at the last

minute.”

After a few words, they both fell silent and turned their attention to Julian as he began his wedding speech- until a low buzz began to ripple through the pews as guests started muttering side comments.

Just then, one woman said, “I never thought Sophia would actually make a comeback after five years. And now she’s the vice president at Crestview Group? Seriously, I can’t stand how she just struts around like she’s

all that.”

A second woman chimed in, “If it were me, I wouldn’t be able to show my face again. I mean, who doesn’t know Easton only dumped her for Stella?”

A third woman said, “I always said-if she didn’t look so much like Stella, Easton probably wouldn’t have even given her the time of day.”

The first woman said, “Remember how Easton ditched her the day after their wedding and flew off to Menolia for half a year? We could barely keep a straight face back then.

“But Sophia’s got some nerve-she kept showing up solo to every event, totally unfazed by all the gossip.”

The second woman said, “Yeah, and when Easton finally came back, he brought Stella with him. Word was Stella was already pregnant, so that’s when Sophia finally decided she’d had enough and got a divorce.”

Easton was sitting just a few rows behind, catching every single word they whispered. He ordered, “Find out which families those socialites belong to. Make sure they never show their faces in Jenston again.”

His eyes were cold and sharp, anger tightly leashed beneath his cool voice.
