130 Chapter 130
130.Chapter 130
Sophia picked up her phone, staring at the order that still hadn’t been picked up. It was already so late, and she finally gave up trying. She followed Easton over to his car.
Easton opened the back door for her.
Once Sophia got in, she scooted as far over as she could, making sure to keep her distance from him.
Easton raised an amused eyebrow and teased, “Am I really that scary?”
Sophia kept her eyes on the window and replied coolly, “No.”
Easton didn’t tease her any further. He leaned back in the seat, closed his eyes, and let himself unwind.
Sophia noticed how quiet he suddenly was, and sneaked a glance his way.
Easton’s features were sharp and sculpted, with a jawline that looked as if it had been carved from marble, with a high, straight nose and lashes so long it was unfair.
Sophia thought, ‘He is too perfectly handsome.’ For a moment, she was utterly dazzled.
Easton teased, “You like staring at me that much, huh?”
His voice was low and magnetic, and as he spoke, Sophia couldn’t help but notice the way his Adam’s apple moved.
Sophia snapped out of it. It felt exactly like getting busted sneaking around. Flustered, she turned her face to the window, avoiding his gaze altogether.
Easton opened his eyes, looking straight at her. He asked, “Did you use to lurk outside the classroom staring at me, back in college?”
Sophia was so stunned. She thought, ‘How does he even know about that? Did Katherine rat me out?’
She replied, “Well, I was pretty young back then, and my eyesight kind of sucked.”
Easton couldn’t hold back a husky laugh from deep in his throat, clearly amused by Sophia’s words.
Gordon couldn’t believe his ears. He thought, ‘Am I hearing things? Did Mr. Foster actually laugh just now?’
Sophia felt Easton was mocking her. So she shot a glare his way.
When they finally got back to the Roth residence, Sophia tossed out a quick “thanks,” opened the car door, and slipped out, her figure disappearing in a blink.
Easton subconsciously ran his fingers over his face, deep in thought.
On the wedding day, Sophia was hustling to get everything ready for Julian-she barely had a moment to catch her breath.
She said, “Julian, I put the tip envelopes in your jacket-you’ll need them for the officiant and limo driver right after the ceremony.”
Julian gave her a fond smile and said, “Got it, don’t worry. My guys got my back.”
Sophia grinned and said, “Alright, Edward and I will get to the hotel ahead of time. Good luck-hope everything goes off without a hitch.”
After watching Julian get into the main wedding car, Sophia went back inside and saw Edward smiling warmly
at her.
“Let’s go, Uncle Edward. Time to head to the hotel,” she said.
By nine in the morning, Annie was already done up in her hotel bridal suite. The wedding dress fit her perfectly, turning her into an absolute vision, and her eyes were bright with happiness and excitement.
Anyone who laid eyes on her just had to praise how stunning she looked.
Someone joked, “Man, Mr. Roth totally won the lottery-he must’ve burned through a boatload of good karma to land Annie.”

Another chimed in, “Mr. Roth isn’t too shabby himself. With Annie by his side, they’re a total power couple.”
The wave of compliments made Annie’s cheeks burn pink, and she couldn’t help but look sweetly shy. She gazed at herself in the mirror, fiddling anxiously with the edge of her dress. Her heart was racing with anticipation. She thought, ‘Will Julian like how I look?’
As the clock ticked closer to ten, Annie could barely keep her nerves in check.
Soon, the sound of Julian and his groomsmen arriving at the hotel door echoed through the hallway.
When Annie heard it, her heart leaped for joy, and she gripped her hands even tighter, nerves and excitement tangled together.
Julian’s groomsmen were smooth operators-they had the bridesmaids letting them in after just a little playful back-and-forth.
Julian walked in with a bouquet in hand.
Annie took the flowers and slipped her hand right into his.
“I’m here,” Julian said.
Those three words hit Annie so hard that her eyes immediately grew misty.
Julian gave her hand a gentle squeeze, then, out of nowhere, pulled a pendant from his pocket.
Annie murmured, “This…”
Julian pulled her close into his arms and said, “I’ve kept it with me the whole seven years.”
