172 Chapter 172
172.Chapter 172
The letter basically explained how the feud between Stella and Benjamin started. What surprised Easton was that he and Stella had met when they were young, and Stella was nothing like the person Benjamin described. Back then, Easton had been in a car accident that damaged his corneas. The doctors said if he didn’t get a suitable donor, he’d be blind for the rest of his life.
Stella had stayed with him at the hospital for six months, encouraging him and helping him get through those long, dark days.
Easton had promised to marry her. Even though he was just a kid back then and didn’t really understand love, he knew he liked the little girl who had kept him company for half a year.
Therefore, when they met again, he gave her everything he could, just to see her happy.
He used to resent the Roth family, and especially Sophia. If they hadn’t forced him into a marriage alliance, and if Irene hadn’t agreed, he would have married Stella.
He always felt guilty towards Stella.
However, by the time he learned Stella had left Jenston for Yorkland because of Murray, whatever feelings he had for her were already gone.
He always thought Stella loved Murray so much that even after he died, she was determined to give birth to his child.
However, as he looked at those photos and read Benjamin’s letter, he realized Stella was nothing like the girl he used to know.
Whether Benjamin was telling the truth or not didn’t matter to Easton; he couldn’t care less what kind of woman Stella was.
He used to be nice to her out of childhood friendship, but now, it was all for David’s sake.
After all, David was the only family Murray had left in this world.
As for Stella’s personal life, Easton had no interest in it.
“Burn all of this. And keep tabs on any news online. If Benjamin sent these to me, he could just send them to the reporters. I don’t want any of this to affect David, Easton said.
Gordon nodded. “Got it.”
After Gordon left, Easton leaned back in his chair and rubbed his forehead.
He thought, ‘Benjamin and Stella have a past together. What about you, Sophia? What kind of relationship do you have with him?’
After Annie’s show in Harlinton, she didn’t tell anyone she was heading back to Jenston; she was planning to give Julian a surprise visit.
When her flight landed at Jenston Airport, Annie pulled out her phone and ordered a car through a ride-hailing
app.
When she arrived at the Roth residence and was about to get out, she spotted Julian coming out the front door with a child in his arms.
The kid wrapped their arms around Julian’s neck and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Julian’s eyes were filled with affection and tenderness. He held the child close, so careful and gentle. He even got him into the car. He was protective to the extreme.
Annie had never realized Julian was so fond of children.
Whenever they went shopping and saw adorable kids at the mall, she’d often ask if he preferred boys or girls, but he’d just smile and stay quiet, saying he enjoyed their life as just the two of them.

Even after they got married, Julian was always careful to make sure they didn’t end up having kids.
Annie just sat there in a daze until the driver reminded her again that they’d arrived.
Annie got out of the car, still lost in thought. When she walked into the house, the butler looked surprised to see her. “Mrs. Roth, you’re back.”
