Stella was stunned. “What?”

George looked out the window toward the airport entrance. “Let’s go say hi to Alex.”

Stella had never liked Catherine or her two sons. Nicolas was just useless, but Alex was nothing like that.

Alex never showed his emotions. He was calculating and cold-blooded. He’d known since he was a kid that Stella wasn’t his real sister, so he always treated her like a stranger.

across her face.

“Stella, all that’s happened with Nicolas and the family lately. Don’t think I know nothing about what you’ve been pulling behind the scenes.

“If it wasn’t for Dad, you’d have been gone from Jenston ages ago. I’m warning you, don’t even think about playing games with me again,” Alex said icily.

Stella was taken aback. ‘Why is Alex so volatile?’ she thought.

George stepped in, and he said in his firm voice, “Alex, that’s all in the past. Stella’s not that kind of person. Now that you’re back, the Weston Group is counting on you.

“No matter what, she’s still part of the Weston family. There’ll come a time when you’ll need her, so don’t write her off.” Alex let out a cold, mocking laugh. “Her? Easton’s never cared about her. If it weren’t for that kid being Murray’s, do you really think Easton would even spare her a glance? She can’t even handle Sophia, let alone the whole Roth family.” George’s eyes were full of approval. He knew that bringing Alex back was the right move. He was sure Alex would have a way to deal with the Roth family.

“Alright, let’s head home. Stella, you sit up front,” George said.

Stella was fuming inside, but she didn’t dare say a word. She just nodded and headed for the passenger seat.
