“Crestview Group has run into a string of problems lately, and now they’re facing liquidation and bankruptcy. I haven’t been able to reach you or Gordon lately, so I’m glad you’re back. Can you take a look and tell me how we should handle this?”

Easton flipped through the files.

Crestview Group was the only supplier for the port project, but the whole thing got shut down over the contraband issue. Crestview took a hit, but Foster Group got caught up in the mess, too.

Katherine wasn’t just worried about the company’s losses; she was really hoping this would give her a reason to ask Easton for help.

Katherine said, “Mr. Foster, Sophia and her people are in a really tough spot right now. Can I ask you for a favor on her behalf?”

Easton glanced up at Katherine, already knowing exactly what she wanted to say.

When Easton stayed silent, his face still clouded over, Katherine thought for sure he wasn’t going to help.

Just as she was about to try again, Gordon leaned in and whispered, “Ms. Chandler, don’t worry. Mr. Foster came back this time just to help Ms. Roth through this crisis.”

Katherine’s eyes went wide in disbelief as she stared at Gordon. When he gave her a firm nod, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

When they arrived at Foster Group, Easton headed inside with Gordon and Katherine. Just as they were about to get in the elevator, the receptionist rushed over.

“Gordon, Mr. George Weston from Weston Group is waiting in the meeting room. He insists on seeing Mr. Foster. He says he’s not leaving until he does, no matter what,” the receptionist reported.

Gordon nodded, gestured for her to leave, then turned to Easton and asked carefully, “Mr. Foster, should we see him?”

Easton raised an eyebrow, thinking, ‘Stella isn’t even back with her family yet, and the Westons are already banging on my door?’

He turned to Katherine and told her to go ahead and start the board meeting upstairs; he’d join them later. Then, with Gordon in tow, he made his way to the meeting room on the first floor.

When they walked in, they saw George and Alex already waiting.

Easton didn’t spare them a glance. He just headed straight for the sofa and sat down.

It was Alex’s first time meeting Easton up close, and the guy just radiated that commanding presence, like he was born to rule. His eyes were icy, the kind one’d expect from someone used to being in charge.

“Mr. Foster, good to see you,” Alex greeted, trying to sound polite.

Easton barely looked at George and Alex, his face unreadable, and didn’t even bother to respond to Alex’s greeting.

George wasn’t fazed by Easton’s intimidating aura at all. He sat down across from him as if he owned the place. He said, “Mr. Foster, I came here today to discuss some past matters between the Weston family and the Roth family.

“For years, our two families have never really gotten along. Whether it’s in business or behind closed doors, the conflict between us has never let up.”

As he spoke, he pulled out a file folder and set it down on the coffee table.
