Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 304

304 Chapter 304

304.Chapter 304

Sophia said, “Don’t call him, Grandma Irene. I’ve just been buried in work these days, and totally spaced that he called me this morning. Looks like my memory’s even worse than yours.”

Irene smiled and patted her hand. She said, “You silly girl, don’t let work take over your whole life.

“Grace, go ahead and call Mr. Foster. Tell him to come pick up Sophia later and bring her back to Windmere Estate for dinner.”

“Yes, Mrs, Irene Foster,” Grace replied.

Sophia quickly stepped in to stop her. She said, “Grandma, I’m meeting a really important client tonight, and Easton already knows about it. So I won’t be coming home to Windmere Estate tonight.

“I’ll come see you in a few days when things calm down, alright?”

Seeing Sophia say that, Irene just nodded and agreed.

Sophia hadn’t been in the room with Irene for long when Eleanore came in with a nurse.

“Hello, Mrs. Irene Foster, Mrs. Sophia Foster,” Eleanore greeted them.

“Hello, Dr. Keats,” Sophia replied, standing up to greet her.

Eleanore was super professional, explaining the test results in detail. Physically, Irene was bouncing back really well: the biggest concern now was that her memory was starting to fade.

That kind of thing just came with age, and Sophia totally got it. If she had to choose, she’d take Irene’s good health over a perfect memory any day.

After handing the report to Sophia, Eleanore left the room.

After that, Sophia and the others didn’t stick around the hospital for long. She waited until Irene and Grace were safely in the car before driving off herself.

Once she got in her car, Sophia gave May a call. She asked, “Hey, May, you got a minute?”

“Just left Crestview Group. What’s up? Didn’t Emily say you were visiting Irene? Finished so soon?” May replied.

“Yeah, let’s go out tonight. I really need a drink,” Sophia said.

May immediately sensed something was off. She thought, ‘Sophia never suggests going out for drinks before. Did something happen to her?’

When May arrived at the bar, Sophia was already half-drunk in a booth.

“Babe, what’s wrong?” May asked, sitting down next to Sophia, her eyes widening at the empty bottles scattered across the

table.

Sophia was slumped over the table, not saying a word.

“Sophia, it’s me, May. Come on, sit up a bit,” May said, gently helping Sophia lean back against the sofa.

When Sophia saw May, she managed a weak smile and said, “I’m fine.”

“You call this fine? You haven’t even had dinner yet, and you’re already this drunk. Are you trying to wreck your stomach?” May said, her voice full of concern.

Sophia was clearly feeling down, her eyes puffy and red, but she was still sober enough to know what was going on. She muttered, “May, I’ve got a flight out tomorrow night. I’m heading back to Japoria, and I probably won’t be coming back anytime soon. Sorry to leave all the Crestview Group legal stuff to you.”

May’s eyes widened in shock. She thought, ‘Out of nowhere, she’s just packing up and heading back to Japoria?’ Sophia told May everything: what Edward had said to her, and how she’d tried calling Easton that night.

May felt a surge of anger at first, but as she mulled it over, she couldn’t help but think, ‘Would Easton really mess with Sophia like that if he didn’t truly care about her?

‘He helped her again and again, even putting his own life on the line for her. No one does that unless they mean it.’

May saw how down Sophia was, and for a mor

Sophia let out a bitter laugh and shook her head. She said, “I had Emily check for me. The day Easton left Jenston, he
