331.Chapter 331
Easton slammed on the brakes and pulled over, clutching his phone so hard his knuckles turned pale. His expression grew even colder.
“Get in touch with Mr. Thorne right now. Tell him to take down that hot search,” Easton ordered.
“Yes, Mr. Foster,” came the reply.
After Easton hung up, someone suddenly popped into his mind, Stella’s mom, Catherine.
He’d already had the Weston residence torched and got Fletcher to hack into Weston Group Tower’s network, but it was wild how everyone seemed to forget about Catherine.
Easton called Charles again, telling him to take care of the trends ASAP. Sophia might not have seen it yet since it was still early, and he wanted Charles to get a statement ready for her to clear things up.
After ending the call with Charles, Easton quickly called Annie, asking her to keep a close eye on Sophia and make sure she was alright.
“Easton, I’m pretty sure Sophia’s already seen the trends. I saw the news this morning and tried calling her right away, but her phone was off.
“Julian and I have been looking everywhere but failed to find her,” Annie said anxiously.
Easton’s brows knitted tightly. “Wasn’t Sophia supposed to be back at the Roth residence? You were home all morning. Didn’t you see her at all?”
Annie explained to Easton that Sophia had stopped staying at the Roth residence a while ago.
Easton jerked the wheel and switched routes, racing straight to Grandview Estate. He rushed up to Sophia’s door, knocked, and pressed the doorbell nonstop.
But he waited and waited, and no one came to the door,
Easton whipped out his phone and dialed Gordon. “Get hold of Sophia’s secretary ASAP and check her schedules today.”
Gordon’s heart jolted. ‘No way… Did Ms. Roth really see that trending topic already? Man! Mr. Thorne is just way too slow‘ Gordon wondered.
“On it. I’ll call right now,” Gordon replied.
At the same time, Easton called Ryan. “Send me May’s number. The one I had before was her assistant’s.”
Ryan was still half–asleep, and when he heard Easton asking for May’s number, he was totally thrown off. “What’s up? Did May piss you off or something?
“Oh, come on, Mr. Foster. She’s gonna be my girl soon. Just let her off the hook, okay? Don’t go after her…”
Easton cut him off, “Sophia’s missing. Just send me her number. Now.”
Ryan shot up in bed. “Sophia’s missing? How the hell did she just disappear like that?”
Easton was clearly losing his patience. “Now. Send me May’s number right now. If you want to know why, just check the internet yourself.”
Ryan could hear how pissed Easton was, so he didn’t even dare hang up. He quickly sent May’s number over WhatsApp.
“Mr. Foster…” He was about to tell Easton the number was sent. But before he could even finish, Easton had already hung
Ryan grumbled, “Shit… What kind of mess is happening this early in the morning? If I find out the Weston family’s stirring up trouble again, I’ll make sure to kick them while they’re down.”
As soon as Easton got May’s number, he called her right away. May picked up almost instantly.
“Ms. Young, it’s Easton. Has Sophia reached out to you today?” Easton asked, his voice tight with worry.
May sounded just as anxious. “Mr. Foster, we’re looking for her, too.”
Easton’s frown deepened. ‘Sophia hasn’t even contacted May? Seriously, where could she have gone?‘ he pondered, anxiety gnawing at him.
“Sophia hasn’t been back to the Roth residence Successfully unlocked! Does she have another apartment or something?” Easton pressed.
