390 Chapter 390
390.Chapter 390
“The goal is to give them free healthcare and treatment for serious illnesses before they turn 18.”
Ryan went over the details with Easton, laying out how things would work.
For now, they just had to wait for the Angel Fund of Crestview Group to nail down the plan, and then they could move forward with the preparations.
Finally, Ryan mentioned that Hayes Group might be joining in on the fundraising event.
Easton stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, his eyes half-narrowed as he glanced over at Frank.
He remarked, “Whether Hayes Group gets involved in this fundraiser isn’t just up to Frank.”
Ryan added, “That charity organization we set up with Howard Group ages ago might actually come in handy now.”
“Right. Just take care of it. Once the fundraising wraps up, I’ll make a personal donation of 150 million dollars,” Easton said.
After ending the call with Ryan, Easton lingered on the balcony for a while. Just as he turned to leave, he bumped into Frank.
“Mr. Foster, long time no see,” Frank greeted him.
Easton’s handsome face was cold and distant, his eyes tinged with a hint of disdain.
As Easton looked ready to brush past him without a word, Frank suddenly called out, “Mr. Foster, I bet Sophia’s seen that cold, superior attitude of yours more times than she can count.
“Back when you were married, she put up with so much pain, and you barely even noticed. Just thinking about it makes me feel for her.
“You never treasured her, but from now on, I promise I’ll treat her the way she deserves.”
Easton turned, his eyes icy and unyielding.
He shot back, “Frank, whatever happens between Sophia and me is none of your concern.
“Your Hayes family is always tangled up in drama, and with your current standing at Hayes Group, you’re not even a match for that illegitimate kid they just dragged back from Evaris.
“Are you really sure you can keep Sophia safe?”
Frank froze, taken aback. He couldn’t help wondering, ‘How the hell does Easton know about that?
‘Grandpa only brought that guy back yesterday, and it looks like he’s planning to hand Hayes Group over to him.’
Frank clenched his fists tightly at his sides.
Easton’s lips curled into a faint, mocking smile. “Frank, if I were you, no, actually, you should learn from me.
“Deal with your own mess first before you start making promises to a woman.”
Easton walked right up to Frank, hands in his pockets. “Hayes Group has always been at odds with Crestview Group behind the scenes.
“Over a decade ago, you tried to take them down, but Mr. Edward Roth was still strong enough to hold Crestview together
on his own.
“And just recently, when Weston Group was going after Crestview, Hayes Group was right there fanning the flames.
“So tell me. If Sophia ever found out about all this, what would she think of you then, her so-called friend from college?”
Frank’s face instantly went pale. ‘How does Easton know about this?’ he wondered.
Frank felt a wave of anxiety wash over him.
Easton was always impossible to read, his strength deeper than anyone could guess. If he really told Sophia about everything Hayes Group had done in the past.
Easton’s mocking smirk faded, his gaze turning icy and ruthless. “Frank, you once asked Sophia to marry you, but let’s not kid ourselves.
“Your real aim was to use her name and make Crestview Group yours. Only a hypocrite like you would prey on someone when they’re vulnerable.”
“No, I really do want to marry Sophia…” Frank protested, flustered, even if there were other motives indeed.

Frank hurried to defend himself against Eastons accusation W
Easton’s eyes were as cold as midnight. “Frank, drop whatever feelings you have for Sophia. If you don’t, you’ll be the next

to vanish from Jenston.”
Frank glared at Easton’s back, jaw tight, his face dark with fury. “Easton, you think you really love Sophia? Give me a break. It’s just your pride getting in the way.
“You can’t handle her shutting you out, so you keep pulling every trick you can to drag her back to you. Just like they say, the one you can’t have is the one you obsess over.
“But let’s get one thing straight: nobody has hurt Sophia more than you have. When you dumped her for Stella, she nearly lost her child because of you.
“I don’t care what you do, but I’m sure she’ll never forgive you for that. Not ever.”
