She added, “You were the one who fell for him at first sight at that party, and you were the one who had your father come to me in private to talk about marriage.”

She continued, “Wendy was never the right match for Sebastian. No matter how deep their feelings were, if she met someone better, she’d drop him in a heartbeat.”

“Anytime a woman gets close to him, you lose it and do something crazy to hurt them. Did you ever trust your husband, even a little? Did you ever try to understand how hard he had it?” she asked.
