Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 469

469 Chapter 469

469.Chapter 469

Vivian’s pupils contracted sharply as she stared at Irene.

After a few seconds, she burst out laughing, “Irene, are you getting confused in your old age, or have you just watched too many movies?”

She sobered up and continued, “Sebastian’s death was just an accident.”

Irene fixed Vivian with a piercing stare. She said, “An accident, yes, but one orchestrated by you. Sebastian may have taken his own life, and maybe others are in the dark, but I know exactly what happened.”

She continued, “It was all thanks to you, his devoted wife. You bribed the manager of this teahouse to feed Sebastian a string of stories about Wendy being abused and killed, filling him with guilt and driving him into a deep depression.”

“That accident was really his own choice to die,” Irene said, her voice trembling.

Vivian calmly picked up her cup and took a sip, completely unfazed.

Irene picked up her prayer beads again. “Just tell me, what do you want so you’ll leave the kids alone?” she said calmly.

Vivian set down her cup and replied, “I want a stake in Foster Group. Specifically, your thirty percent share.”

Irene clenched her prayer beads, her face clouded over as she sat in silence for a while.

“Vivian, you’re even more ambitious than you used to be,” Irene said.

Vivian smirked, “You just don’t get the thrill of real power.”

Irene stood up to leave. As she reached the door, she said calmly, “You’re the only one I ever got wrong in my life.”

Vivian didn’t get angry. Instead, she just laughed, “And what about Sophia? Do you really think she’s got what it takes to be a part of your family?”

Irene stayed composed. “It’s not that Sophia couldn’t be, she just doesn’t care about it,” she replied.

Deep down, Irene regretted it. She’d spent her life focused on power, just like Vivian had in her youth.

She thought that if she could raise a woman in her own image, she could help her son and grandson secure the Foster family’s legacy for generations to come.

But she was wrong.

All that really mattered was for her children and grandchildren to be healthy and happy.

Over the years, being around Sophia had shown Irene a whole new perspective on life.

Sophia was passionate and genuine, knew when to hold on and when to let go, and was tough as nails. She was always sincere with everyone she met.

Irene cared for Sophia so much because Sophia loved Easton deeply, more than anyone else ever could.

Her love was truly pure.

Only Sophia could bring real happiness to Easton all the years ahead.

After Irene left the house, Allison entered the room. “Vivian, do you think Irene knows why you came back? If she’s already prepared, doesn’t that mean it’ll be tough for us to make a move?” she asked.

Vivian stood up and poured out all the coffee. “She’s just a dying old woman, I never waste a second worrying about her,” she replied.

“But with Easton running Foster Group all these years, the company’s foundation is way more solid than I expected. Those Windmere assets? All his, and worth a fortune. That’s his safety net for Foster Group,” she analyzed.

“I’ve tried to plant people inside, but they’re way too cautious. No way in. He’s definitely Irene’s true heir, stronger than his father ever was. Taking Foster Group the usual way? Not gonna be easy. But Easton? He’s got a soft spot,” she concluded.

Allison knew right away who Vivian meant.

Those photos of Sophia and Easton hugging and kissing at Remony Medical Center had already been sent to her phone.

She lowered her hands, balling them into fists.

fer to take to work.

Allison left the house and headed straight back Successfully unlocked!
