479 Chapter 479
479.Chapter 479
At Crestview Group, Sophia and May had just finished a meeting and were walking out of the conference room when Emily came up to Sophia.
“Sophia, someone from Hayes Group just registered at the front desk for an appointment. They said they’re meeting you today to talk about a partnership with Bluewave Hotel.” Emily said.
Sophia nodded. Frank had messaged her two days ago, saying he’d send someone over today to discuss the Bluewave Hotel partnership.
May stood off to the side, looking a bit confused. “Are you really going to partner with Hayes Group?” she asked.
Sophia shook her head. “Even though Mr. Hayes arranged this, Bluewave Hotel isn’t actually part of Hayes Group. From what I know, Mr. Hayes wanted Hayes Group to break into the hotel business, but the board didn’t approve it.”
She added, “So the Bluewave Hotel project got handed over to Charlotte. You could say it’s like a betrothal gift from Mr. Hayes to her.”
May nodded, getting the picture. “Mr. Hayes is pretty generous. Charlotte must mean a lot to him.”
Sophia nodded. “Since Mr. Hayes recommended it, I can’t really turn it down, so I’ll just talk it through and see what happens.”
May noticed Sophia was busy, so she didn’t stick around. After a quick chat, she left.
Not long after Sophia returned to her office, Emily knocked on the door and came in, bringing someone from Hayes Group along.
“Hey, Sophia, looks like we are meeting again,” Charlotte greeted with a smile.
Sophia was caught off guard. She stood up, walked over to Charlotte, and shook her hand. “My secretary just told me someone from Hayes Group was coming. I didn’t expect it to be you!” she said,
Charlotte smiled and handed Sophia a box of local treats from Almere.
“Just a little something to mark my first visit,” she said.
Sophia accepted the gift with a warm smile. “You’re too thoughtful. Have a seat. Let’s take our time and talk.”
Emily brought in two cups of coffee. Charlotte accepted hers politely with both hands. “Thank you,” she said.
Watching Charlotte, Sophia couldn’t help but notice. There wasn’t even a hint of that spoiled heiress vibe. She really had class.
Charlotte glanced at Sophia with a soft smile. “Just joined Hayes Group recently, so I’m with them now.”
Charlotte explained, catching the surprise on Sophia’s face when she first walked in.
“Frank gave Bluewave Hotel to my family as a betrothal gift. I haven’t really done business before, so he wants me to stick around and learn the ropes from him, so I can handle my own business down the road,” Charlotte said.
Sophia nodded, getting the picture.
“Mr. Hayes must think really highly of you,” Sophia remarked.
Charlotte just smiled and kept quiet. She preferred to keep her relationship with Frank to herself. After all, there were never any real feelings between them.
The marriage was only for her grandfather’s sake. He was getting old, and his only wish was to see his one and only granddaughter find a good match while he was still around.
But Charlotte knew Frank wasn’t the one for her.
Charlotte didn’t waste any time. She pulled out the Bluewave Hotel documents and the full layout of the hotel from her briefcase.
Sophia flipped through the papers. Bluewave Hotel was officially listed under Charlotte’s name as her personal property, and there was even a notarized prenuptial property agreement included.
Sophia was a little curious, but she didn’t ask about the agreement. The Hayes family was complicated, and maybe Frank just wanted to make sure Charlotte was protected.
There were lots of handwritten notes in the docuSuccessfully unlocked!ell Charlotte had really put a lot of effort into
this.
“Miss Vaughn, your notes are so thorough. I think I get what kind of design Bluewave Hotel needs now,” Sophia said.

Charlotte smiled. “So, Ms. Roth, does that mean you’re willing to work with me?” she asked.
