“Keep a close eye on him. Tell our people to stir up some smoke and let Frank walk right into the trap. Once he gets tangled up overseas, getting out won’t be so easy,” Easton said coolly.

“Yeah, I’m about to hang up. Sophia’s gone on a shopping spree. I gotta help her haul all that stuff. Easton, good thing you’ re Jenston’s richest guy, because with Sophia’s insane spending, most men wouldn’t stand a chance.” Charles said. “You wouldn’t believe it. Last night she bought a bunch of antique jewelry, didn’t even blink, just spent millions like it was nothing,” he added.

Easton chuckled quietly, “She doesn’t have many hobbies, but she’s got a thing for this stuff. All I’ve really got is money anyway.”

Charles couldn’t help but smirk. ‘Man, this is some high-end PDA, expensive and filling, he thought.

After hanging up, Easton couldn’t resist deliberately checking his phone for the messages Sophia had sent last night. ‘Damn, after all these years, she’s finally spending my money, Easton thought, grinning at himself, ‘I couldn’t be happier.’ When Ryan walked into the CEO’s office, he saw Easton looking unusually relaxed, a faint smile tugging at his lips. ‘Guess Easton’s in a good mood today, Ryan thought.

“Mr. Foster, we’ve wrapped things up in Cedarica. The attacker confessed to all charges and was officially indicted by the police today.” Ryan reported.

“Even though the case is closed, we kept digging and found out his wife’s sister received a two-million-dollar transfer the day before the incident. I checked the source, it wasn’t Vivian, and it wasn’t Frank either,” he continued.

“The money came from a guy named Renee Shaw. Turns out, Renee is from Frank’s mother’s side of the family. So there’s no way Frank isn’t involved,” he concluded.

Easton’s face turned cold. ‘Just as I thought, he thought.

“Is it possible Allison knows Frank?” Easton suddenly asked.

Ryan shook his head and said, “I can’t say for sure yet. We’ve checked all of Allison’s communications these past two days. She hasn’t reached out to Frank, the attacker, or anyone tied to the suppliers or agents.

“We do suspect Allison, but there’s nothing concrete tying her to what happened.”

Easton nodded. “Once Allison’s healed up, I’ll have Gordon set it up so she and Rowen head back to Menolia right away.” “Yeah, Allison really shouldn’t stay here. Whether she’s in cahoots with Frank or not, she might still be up to something with you. Better not get mixed up in that drama,” Ryan said.

Easton agreed silently, ‘That’s exactly right.’

At Almere Airport, Sophia and Charlotte finished packing up and settled into the waiting area, just killing time until their flight.

“So, have you and Mr. Hayes set a date for the wedding yet?” Sophia suddenly asked.

Charlotte was quiet for a moment. “If I told you I don’t want to marry Frank and want to call off the engagement, would you back me up?” she asked.

Sophia gave Charlotte’s hand a gentle pat. After those days together, it was clear Charlotte didn’t really have feelings for Frank.

Having been through it herself, Sophia knew firsthand just how sad a loveless marriage could be.

“Charlotte, I’m just an outsider, so I can’t really help you much. When it comes to marriage, aside from your family’s advice, it’s really up to you. What you truly feel is what matters most,” Sophia said.

She added, “Not gonna lie, I’ve been through a failed marriage myself, and honestly, that was the roughest time of my life.” Charlotte was honestly moved by Sophia and Easton’s whole love story.

“But in the end, you two still ended up back together. All because of love,” Charlotte said softly.

Sophia smiled, a gentle warmth in her eyes.
