563.Chapter 563
After hanging up the phone, Easton’s face fell.
Fletcher noticed Easton’s sudden change. He asked, “Mr. Foster, did something happen?”
Easton quickly grabbed his phone and called Ryan. He said, “Irene had a car accident at Windmere Estate. The ambulance is taking her to the hospital now. Get the doctors and the operating room ready immediately.”
Half an hour later, Irene was brought into Remony Medical Center by the medical staff.
Eleanore followed the hospital director and the deputy director to the operating room.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Foster. The director and deputy director are both here. For now, don’t tell Sophia about this,” Eleanore said.
Easton nodded. He knew how serious this was. Sophia couldn’t know about Irene’s accident yet, and she definitely couldn’t show up.
Just then, Ryan walked over and said, “Easton, Irene’s accident was no accident. Fletcher’s men have already caught the culprit.”
Easton turned, his eyes darkening with anger. He asked, “Who did it?”
Ryan replied, “Samantha.”
Anger flashed across Easton’s face, his fists clenched at his sides. He said, “Tell Fletcher to give her a proper welcome.’ Send her to Evaris first, and let her know her mother will be joining her soon.”
Ryan replied, “Got it.”
Just as Ryan left, Easton’s phone rang. It was one of his men calling.
The man said, “Mr. Foster, Mr. Hayes just messaged me. Mason and Vivian’s new company has already started making moves. Should we just hold off for now?”
Easton’s face darkened as he replied, “Yeah, hold off for now. Wait for my word.”
Just then, Derrick hurried over and said, “Foster Group’s stock is plummeting, and the Menolia branch is having a cash flow crisis. You should head back to the office and take care of things. Let me handle things
here.
“I’ll call you as soon as Irene’s surgery is over.”
Easton waved him off. He said, “I’m not leaving. I want to be here when Irene comes out.”
Derrick couldn’t talk Easton out of it, so he just stayed by his side, waiting with him.
Sophia’s “injury” was all part of a show Fletcher set up for June to see. They wanted to fool June and let them believe their plan was already working.
Before Catherine could even make a move against Sophia, Fletcher had already arranged for her to be taken care of. The car accident was staged, with someone pretending to be Catherine.
Charles went all out, hiring a director and a bunch of pro actors to pull off the most realistic accident scene
ever.
Honestly, it was so real that anyone watching would swear it actually happened. Everyone who June had posted nearby fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Sophia thought, ‘Charles really outdid himself this time.
When Charlotte got to the hospital, she and Sophia quickly coordinated their story. Charlotte then sent a message to Dexter, pretending that Sophia was still in a coma and hadn’t made it past the danger zone yet. Dexter didn’t waste a second. He forwarded the message straight to Mason and June.
“Sophia, so what’s up with Catherine now? Are you guys sending her back to the mental hospital?” May asked. Sophia shook her head and said, “Catherine got herself a psych evaluation way ahead of time, just to dodge

jail. She thought Stella was secretly helping her escape, but they were both way off.
“The caregiver looking after her? That was my person from the start. I never bought that Catherine was actually insane. I was just waiting for the right chance to prove she was faking it.
“My people made sure she got away this time, but now she’s looking at even more jail time than before. May, I’ m counting on you to handle the rest.”
May nodded, then slung an arm around Emily’s shoulders. She said, “We really owe Emily and her friend a big thank you.
“Her friend helped us uncover what happened with Chloe back at the care center, and she totally came through for us again this time.”
Emily waved it off. She said, “Coming from the orphanage, getting to know Sophia and Mr. Foster is already a huge deal for us. It’s really no big deal.”
