Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 91

91 Chapter 91

91.Chapter 91

As soon as Sophia saw the room number, she bolted out of the surveillance room. Julian, his heart pounding, rushed after her with the hotel staff close behind.

When Sophia reached the door, she started pounding on it like a madwoman, but no one answered. It wasn’t until the manager arrived and swiped his keycard that the door finally swung open.

Sophia stepped inside and found the suite completely a mess. Her chest tightened with dread.

As she reached the bedroom, she stopped dead in her tracks. Then she said, “Don’t come in here. Call the police, quick!”

Julian already had a pretty good idea of what had happened. He quickly backed out of the suite, whipped out his phone to call the police, and then immediately dialed May.

Sophia’s eyes were red with anguish as she spotted Emily, curled up on the floor by the bed, hugging her knees tight. She hurriedly shrugged off her own coat, crouched down, and wrapped it gently around Emily’s shivering shoulders.

Her voice trembled as she said softly, “Emily, it’s fine now… I’m so sorry. I should’ve gotten here sooner.”

Emily’s face was smeared with bruises, her lips split and swollen. The moment she saw Sophia, all her defenses shattered. She broke down in loud, wrenching sobs.

“It was Nicolas. He… he raped me,” Emily choked out.

Sophia pulled Emily close, holding her tight as she wept. Then her gaze landed on the mess on the bed sheets -the entire room felt frozen in that instant. Sophia’s eyes flashed cold and deadly, sharp as steel and full of vengeance.

She cursed inwardly, ‘Nicolas, you bastard!’

By the time May arrived, the doctors and police had just shown up as well.

Sophia helped Emily onto the couch, gently soothing her. “Emily, the doctors and police are here now. Don’t be scared. Just let them help you.”

Emily thought Sophia was about to leave, so she grabbed her hand tightly, unwilling to let go.

Sophia’s eyes were full of pain as she reassured Emily. “I’m not leaving. I’ll be here with you the whole time.”

Emily, tears brimming in her eyes, nodded.

After the police took a quick statement, Sophia and May escorted Emily to the hospital.

Meanwhile, back at the Weston residence, Nicolas stumbled in, still half out of it. He collapsed onto the couch and dozed off, completely oblivious to everything around him.

Around midnight, the butler led several police officers straight into the Weston residence, the commotion jolting George and Catherine awake from their preparations for bed upstairs.

“What’s going on?” George muttered irritably as he made his way downstairs, his expression stormy. He thought, ‘Did my useless son cause trouble again?’

Just as he’d suspected, the police broke the news about what had happened and immediately escorted Nicolas out of the house.

George, seething, grabbed the ashtray from the table and flung it at Nicolas. All that gentlemanly calm he’d shown during the day vanished completely in the heat of the moment.

“Dad, what the hell is wrong with you? Didn’t you hear the police? They just want me to help with the investigation. They haven’t even pinned this on me!” Nicolas yelled, clutching his stomach.

“Mom, please, you gotta call the lawyer! You have to trust me. I swear I didn’t do anything,” Nicolas cried.

Catherine gave a quick nod, anxiety written all over her face as she watched the police drag Nicolas away. She didn’t forget to shoot a glare at George, who was still raging beside her.

91 Chapter 91

No one knew how the news of what happened to Emily in the hotel that night got leaked, but as Sophia and May supported Emily toward the exit, they found the entrance jam-packed with reporters.

Easton had just finished a late-night international meeting in his office when Gordon came rushing in, clearly

shaken.

Gordon said, “Mr. Foster, you need to see this-it’s all over the news. Ms. Roth was at a business dinner at the hotel tonight, and something went really wrong. They’re saying there was… a rape involved.”

Easton shot to his feet so fast that his chair slid backward, slamming into the bookshelf with a loud bang.
