The first half made Sophia think first place was a lock.

Sophia realized she’d overstepped. Seeing the lethal looks from the judges, she tried to backtrack.

Her explanation was pathetic and weak.

Asa Montgomery slammed his hand on the table and stood up. “Since you doubt our integrity, let’s bring the pieces down and let the audience decide!”

Asa personally took the designs and placed them on display stands, having the teachers wheel them down for the Principal and parents to see.

There were ten pieces. Most were average student work.

But Sophia’s “Tears of the Ocean” was a literal star among pebbles.
